This is a lovely gay pub and meeting place conveniently located close to Kings Cross station. Very polite and helpful bar manager. Had a wonderful time in their basement while attending a social event. Drinks were reasonably priced too.Rooms: 4/5
We checked out one day earlier because of a personnal issue and informed the manager. He said we would get a refund if we send our train tickets via mail. So we sent the tickets through mail the day after we left, but then suddenly they stopped responding and now they are saying they never recieved the tickets. They were also very rude. They are just lying now to keep our money. I have never had such a bad experience in any b&b, literally shocking. Also the building and rooms are very old and dirty, needs renovation. Our bathroom had little black hairs on the floor, room was noisy because of thin windows and there was a green exit light at night in the room which was very annoying. AVOID!
Great location, and the karaoke in the pub downstairs was high quality. But the loud music ran until around 2 AM. Not the place to stay if you want to get any sleep.
Had a few drinks there this afternoon as West End was packed. The bar staff Jay manager was really friendly. The place was really quiet but top marks for Jay, brilliant service, he has a sense of humour as well.
AVOID !! I stayed one night and I ended up with 150 bed bugs bites. on the next day I took at the back of my pillow and there were back spots on the pillow case !! with a proper health and hygiene process there is no way the hotel did not know about this. Please avoid. This is living nightmare. I had to throw away my suitcase and bring someone to my home to disinfect the place. Not to mention the PTSD. It has been 9 days I still have bites marks on me face included. I am still waiting on the hotel to come back to me, the reception desk did not even care when I told them there were bed bugs in the room. They were not surprised at all. Of course they reimbursed the company for the night but they do not seem to care about what I have to pay because of that + the trauma left. Avoid. Worst hotel experience ever.
This hotel bar is the worst place to spend a night at… all the workers there are extremely racist especially the manager! They steal your money and waste your time lying to you… it’s the last place you’d ever want to stay at and last people you’d ever want to trust!! Don’t rely on these people.. they’re customer service is outrageous on another level and if they’re not satisfied with what your saying or can’t handle the truth they’ll just end the phone on your face!! Worst experience ever in my life!!!!!
Really relaxed and good place to talk lots of clubs meet too. Nice to see a woman behind the bar. History of the place used to be the Prince Albert and host GLF discos.
Beer in the karaoke bar is often flat no doubt due either to insufficient mix of CO2, dirty lines or both. Bottled Bud 330ml was £5!! Spoils the pleasure. Pity because it's unnecessary.
Nice little bar, friendly atmosphere and bar staff were also welcoming. It was a cold night and we sat near a "live" fire place - cosy & warm. Bar service was quick. We went at a quiet time, on the way to the theatre, so there wasn't a show on, but we hear the shows are good. We passed by later and saw it was much busier with a performer on stage. We will return...
The pub had a very nice rooftop area and was very cozy. Since it was close to king's cross station, the pub was easy to find and travel to. The food was high grade but expensive. the people there were friendly. i went to a board game event and enjoyed myself and im grateful to the staff for allowing it as an event. There were three bathrooms, ladies and gentlemen downstairs and unisex upstairs so its very inclusive. The unisex bathroom was very clean. Overall I had a good time and I'd recommend going.
