Story

"Welcome to my house, and please make yourself at home.

My disciples Kelley, Antoine, Alex and Marco are all budding experts in their fields, and together with lead disciple Mikey, they are well-prepared to take you on a journey through the world of convivial libations, spirits and wines.

I've always had a particular affinity with bartenders and the like. My early life was spent traveling the world, sometimes for pleasure, other times for duty. From my time in New York, where I once lived above a bar and passed time in conversation with the staff and colourful patrons; through to my travels around the globe; I have supped and spoken of – and sometimes even witnessed the birth of – cocktails and mixed drinks that were to become the classics of the modern world.

Before my latter years as a cleric I considered myself privileged to peak behind this veil in all its glory - From an Aviation to a Zombie, I've tried them all. Now, my disciples are bridging the gap between the traditional and the classic with the modern and cutting edge in order to bring you interesting and innovative beverages for your imbibing pleasure.

We very much look forward to entertaining yourself and your friends over a drink and an anecdote or three, and becoming part of your omnibibulous adventure."

Walked past this unassuming establishment and the name piqued my interest. Through a corridor and into the basement we went where we were warmly greeted by Rhydian. He explained every one of his creations in depth and is really a gifted storyteller. I loved how every drink was made with sustainable ingredients but crafted so intricately. We had a lovely night and will surely return.
A gem in the city. Excellent cocktail bar with cosy and characteristic atmosphere. By looking at the menu, you can already recognise the care, the knowledge, and the passion of their offer. Drinks were all interesting and superbly made, and requests are welcomed by the bartender who has an interesting collection of liquors. Definitely recommended .
I really wanted to like this bar and I probably would have if another bartender were there. The venue itself is really cute, I do like the shabby look of the walls and also the bathroom was quite nice. The music was pleasant and at a nice volume - not too loud but not so quiet that everyone can hear your conversation. And this is where my list of positives ends. The bartender was very polite, but I found it annoying that we got there with only 2 other customers present, who got a big table, and we were told to sit at the tiniest table by the stairs even though we had few bags with us, just to then see other groups of 2 arriving after us and getting the bigger tables - and no, they didn’t have a reservation either and there were plenty of tables available, we were just picked for the ugly table for some reason. We couldn’t really read the menu because of the lighting at that particular table, so we asked for 5 more minutes to finish reading but the bartender wasn’t having it, so I just picked a random cocktail. My friend couldn’t pick one immediately and the bartender started pressing her with questions. She was getting quite stressed and annoyed, I could tell she just wanted to leave so I told him firmly to let her pick a drink from the menu on her own because he wasn’t helping. In the end she also picked a random drink just to get it over with and neither of us was particularly happy with our choices. The cocktails consisted in a giant ice cube with the tiniest amount of drink around it, so you end up drinking a watered down cocktail most of the time unless you order a cocktail every 10 mins. We’re not alcoholics so that’s not an option. I also didn’t like how he pressured the 2 guys sitting close to us into getting another drink while they were still halfway through their first one, and they got there after us. They were too polite to say no, but we could tell they didn’t really need a second drink just yet. Overall a disappointing experience and I won’t be going back. Really a shame, I did like the venue and I would have made it one of my go-to spots.
Cozy little bar with a cool cocktail menu. Feels like your aunts lived in living room that you actually want to visit. I had the inconceivable and it was yummy. Lively. It not too rowdy crowd. Understaffed unfortunately so we only stayed for one round but server was lovely!
Truly lovely underground speakeasy with excellent and creative cocktails, thoughtful service and great conversation from the proprietor Rhidian, and a welcoming, chill ambience with good but soft music that makes it easy to converse. I've had great cocktails at bars all over the world and this place is a new favorite, with inventive and literary drinks you won't find anywhere else and plenty of room to chill with friends. A rare find in London. Will come back often!
The owner/bartender/server is absolutely incredible, and I'm fairly certain, a wizard. From the drinks on the menu to the drinks he created based on our mood, we were blown away from start to finish. Come to this hidden gem as soon as you can.Service: 5/5
New Owner since January 2022! The Cocktails are excellent! Were here with friends and tried a few different cocktails out, we loved all of them. A nice and cozy place. We had a great time!
Good little bar tucked away under Goodge street. We went to one of the sermon nights where we got three different cocktails of the nights spirit, in this case Bourbon. The cocktails were a little different from the standard ones and very nice, you got to make one of them behind the bar with the help of one of the barmen which was a neat touch. As part of the night there was a tasting session which explained the history and different types and how they were made, and we got to try a few various types. Would deffo go again.
Excellent cocktails. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and lovely atmosphere - fab scruffy chic decorFood: 5/5
A quiet and intimate local favourite which deserves wider renown. Run mostly by a solo bartender, this is exactly what a cocktail bar should be: full of passion for the drink above all else. The service is personal and knowledgeable, and the bohemian interior is perfectly suited to the stripped-back and friendly atmosphere. The cocktail list is scintillatingly imaginative, with unusual spirits and rare mixers combined to create some truly amazing themes. Perfect for a date, friendly get-togethers, and everything else in between!
