Myself, my husband and our friends stayed for one night, the staff are really friendly and very helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious and the foods amazing. we will definitely be staying here again next year !

Do not stay here, it's noisy until late at night, uncomfortable, food is appalling, service was miserable, uncomfortable beds, old fashioned worn decor, and unhygienic. When we arrived around 10pm there were alot of people outside smoking and alot of noise as the bar inside was housing quiz bingo!! It wasn't clear where to go so we walked in the bar and the girl serving was very abrupt and never smiled. We were then taken to our rooms. The decor was very worn. We had booked room 2 and 3 but were put in 1 and 3?? I slept in room 1 with my husband. It was a very small room, and as soon as we walked in, it had a strange smell. Very faint wee wee smell, and damp. The bathroom was tiny. It smelt, and had to extractor fan or windows so the moisture didn't go anywhere as soon as you had a shower. The bottom of the shower was coming away and on the ceiling little specs of black mould were starting to appear. The rooms were cheap so I didn't expect the breakfast to be included. How ever the lady on the phone specifically said that they provided cooked breakfasts for £4 and a continental for around the same. We were there for a wedding on the weekend, and none of the breakfast were served until 10am?? On the wedding day we went down stairs to have breakfast and there was no bowls, proper cutlery, croissants, fresh fruit, or juices, What you expect at a B&B. The cooked breakfast was not a full English. Just two bits of cheap bread with two eggs two bacon slapped on the top and some beans. The bacon was like leather!! There were No sausages, fried bread, hash browns, fresh tomato's. The only egg provided was scrambled. Do not be fooled by the continental breakfast. One small box of cornflakes with a pot of tinned peaches and a small carton of cheap orange juice. There was nothing continental about it. No toast or jams, no croissants, no fresh fruit or juice. The food was all in all Appalling!! I paid £12.00 for cheap coffee, two awful very sparse looking cooked breakfasts and some toast!! During the day it's really peaceful. But at night its really noisy. On the Friday night I was trying to sleep and I could actually hear people going to the toilet underneath me. Theres a caravan park over the way so the pub is full at night but there was no consideration for people in the guest rooms trying to sleep. My husband and I didn't get to sleep until 2am the first night. By 7am in the morning I was awoken by slamming doors downstairs and shouting. The second night we got in around 12ish as we had been at a wedding. None of us were drunk as we had to drive. we agreed with the house keeper we would be out fairly early to check out and go and see family. But we were kept up so late by the noise downstairs we were too tired in the morning to be up early and out. When we went downstairs late morning to check out we just got a sarcastic comment from the housekeeper about how late we were. all in all it was appalling and its sad because it was a nice location and the place had so much potential. But I will never stay here again or reccomend it to anyone.
