Fantastic meal at this friendly pub. Portions are generous and cooked to perfection. The steak pie had large pieces of tender meat and the Lincolnshire sausage was so tasty. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Best to book in advance as it is only small but definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Also extremely dog friendly, our dog was even given a couple of treats too.
Top place landlady was amazing barman. Funny and knowledgeable about the area. Nice pint. Friendly people inside very clean. Did not try the food will do on our next visit. As the food we saw come out looked very respectable.
It was fairly reasonable. Its one of the only places serving food mid afternoon on a Friday after I'd been for a bimble in the wolds Had the cheese and bacon burger. It was good. Bread was still almost frozen on the bottom and there were a few chewy bits in the beef, but it was good The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly, service is pretty quick. 8/10, will be going again!
Took some friends from Hull here for a Christmas get-together. We've eaten here before and love the cosy atmosphere of the place. Good was great - we decided to have the 2 course option a 3 course meal was also available. I had a burger, as did my friend. My wife and the other friend had lasagna. We weren't waiting long and service was fantastic, as was the food. We then followed that up with a desert and the choices were many. We were stuffed afterwards and stayed for a couple of drinks. Prices were reasonable and around the account is expect to pay elsewhere. All in all of absolutely recommend The Sali and hope you'd enjoy a meal here as much as we did
The best pub meal I have had in a long time. The Steak pie was lovely and the plate was full. Man sized portions. Good beer choices, friendly staff and good outdoor seating. I'll certainly be going there again.
Pub was closed on arrival you may need to update your website as opening hours suggest whole pub opens at 7am everyday They did have a snack bar open outside though, which served lovely coffee and great breakfast baps. Young girl who was serving handled some difficult customers extremely well I don't think I'd have kept my cool! Lovely local ice cream available too, would definitely stop here again if passing. Shame I couldn't get a beer with breakfast, but I'm sure not everybody wants a pint that early ;
We called in off the off chance while passing by back to Scunthorpe. We were not disappointed.. the food was delicious, hot fresh & plentiful.. Service was a little slow, and I was a little disgruntled when the waitress started to pick my food order apart..Hunters chicken with veg But after a 30 minute wait I was not disappointed with my food choice or my husband's.. The long food wait is down to it being served fresh which is great..We will definitely be returning in the near future .. Thank you Salutation we really did enjoy our visit
This place seemed very nice, actually had nice food to tell the truth, I was having a great time there, Until I went to the bar just to order my drink, for then the woman who I think was running the bar, to literally come up to me and start taking the mick out of my appearance purposely trying to make me look stupid to all the other customers at the bar, then when I tried to ignore it she stood there with her colleague and was literally taking the mick out of me with her, I couldn’t believe what was happening in front of me to be honest!! Due to me having extreme anxiety I walked out the pub and felt terrible all night because of this. So yes I am writing this review as I don’t believe anybody deserves to go out for the evening to be taken the mick out of to the point your nights ruined especially when it’s the staff. Everyone is an individual person and has the rights to look how they like, do there hair how they like, dress how they like, walk how they like, and shouldn’t have to worry about people making them feel beneath themselves. Yes I am very angry about that evening and therefore will avoid this place at all costs .
Very helpful staff, catered for eleven of us for a birthday meal at the end of August, it was perfect, all courses served on time, the food was delicious and we were looked after very well by Stuart and all the staff. Thank you all so much for a lovely night.
Great food, good selection of beers. Friendly staff and occasionally free entertainment. Great pub
