Stopped for a refreshment break on a bike ride, couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming place. The staff were so friendly as were the locals. Great selection of local ales, lager, ciders and gin and whilst we didn’t eat this time, the food looked and smelt incredible and we are already planning a return visit - with the intention of eating too. Dog friendly too We visited during the summer but it’s the sort of place we’d love to come back to in the depths of winter too. Lovely log fire, good chat and great food!
What a gem of a place. The Pub can get busy so be ready to get there early or wait. But it’s worth the wait, we had a selection of starters and mains including kids dinners. The Fish & chips are ‘a catch’ really well cooked with melt in the mouth batter. There is an eclectic mix of memorabilia on the walls all with a story to tell. It’s worth a visit to grab a pint and look at those items alone. You can park here and then walk down to the beach, just make sure you support the business along the way.
Great pub, good selection of beers at great prices. Lovely original interior.Food: 5/5
Great location for peace and tranquility, good food, great service. One mile to horsey seal sanctuary. Definitely be back. Loved it.Food: 4/5
Great pub, very welcoming with amazing beer. This pub is an absolute gem, we stayed over free of charge in our camper. We eat and drank with the locals then had a walk down to see the seals at sunset.
Amazing pub, good food and ales. Real fireplace!! Walking distance to Horsey Gap beach, ideal to have a meal after seeing the seals!
The wonderful staff treated us like VIP’s and trusted us a large group of young adults in their events space during a particularly wet camping trip. They also went above and beyond to make sure we all got home safe and sound. Thank you so much for being so kind and hospitable!Food: 5/5
Such an interesting place! I love all the war memorabilia. What a gem! Even had non alcoholic beerFood: 4/5
Wow, I was served by the family, felt like home despite the fish & chips being much better and larger than expected. I hope my wife is not reading it as I have never ordered F&C near her! The parking was good too and free. So I made sure my guests had drinks and food. So hope you have a sense of humour and I still can park near ; See you again - very soon!
Found out about this pub as we wanted to walk to Horsey gap to see the seals and the path from the windmill was meant to be closed. Parked the motorhome in one of their carparks and checked with member of staff that was OK. Distance to the beach was much less than from the windmill. Returned to a very good meal. The staff were lovely and friendly and the interior cosy. Already recommended it to other friends in the area.
