Munstone House

Mattress firmness wasn't to my taste but that's not to fault of the hotel in fairness.. Biggest and absolutely unacceptable issue of this hotel was the fact that there was ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER. Want to wash your hands after using the bathroom? No hot water. Fancy a bath after work? Not possible be ause no hot water. The room was beautiful, bathroom was breathtaking but rendered useless. It seems to me like they've unfortunately been hit by the price of energy at the moment but instead of making reasonable adjustments they've decided the heating and hot water are taking the hit. No bar or restaurant available unfortunately. The staff seemed nice enough on check in but reception is not manned. Unfortunately unless the hot water was fixed I would absolutely never recommend this stay sadly. It has such a fantastic potential but sadly doesn't meet it.

My wife and I had cause to book a couple of nights stay at Munstone House for the purposes of visiting friends and collecting a new car in Hereford. This is a magnificent stately home and despite needing a mild refresh in some areas we enjoyed its charm. We were very well looked after and wifi problems aside have no complaints. We will definitely be back should the need arise.

The hotel is cute but feels very abandoned. No staff or people around at any time. Bedrooms are ok but water in the bathroom is so boiling hot you cannot shower or even wash your face. Breakfast comes in packed lunch bags.

Jacuzzi bath had a very bad leak. No reception staff at desk, breakfast was in a paper bag and only one between the two of us. Room was lovely but the grounds could do with quite a bit of tidying up.Rooms: 4/5

The good things Stayed in the francis suit beautiful room and bathroom at reasonable price fir the room Breakfast was self serve but food was good and was hot Everything there except toast Bad things NO HEATING we were given a portable heater but it was insufficient for such a large room .they did supply another later on but still no heater for bathroom which was freezing so no shower too cold Could be so much better with a little thought for the customer

Nice clean room , lady who served and helped us was lovely and the bathroom in our room was amazing with the jacuzzi bathRooms: 5/5

Very disappointed, unfriendly welcome, after that we didn't see anyone, rooms are outdated and definitely not wheelchair friendly for those that need it.. disappointed leaving your breakfast in a bag.. no options .. definitely not a home from home experience.. Rooms: 1/5

A very friendly welcome when arrived, beautiful clean room which had everything u needed, couldn’t of asked for more will be definately staying there again in the future!Rooms: 5/5

Munstone House exceeded our expectations. Lovely spacious rooms, quiet location close to town. Very smart decor. We will be back.

No bar open, breakfast put in a bag for you so we didn't take it. Lovely lady takes you to your room and then you think let's just leave.. Haven't been decorated for over 40 years I bet. Really run down but the building got character.. No shower to use. Other peoples hair left around the sink. I was up and out by 8,30amRooms: 1/5
