Another of Southam's 'just ok' takeaway restaurants. Service is quick & food quality ok. There are good menu choices too. There's certainly far worse in the adjacent area though!Food: 3/5
Very dissapointed, new to the area and first curry! Very fatty and watery. Mango sauce and mint sauce has to be watered down, so thin. Curry had no sauce and lack of taste. Very oily.
I have eaten a lot of indian meals in my years but I have to say the food here is among the best. I have ordered several dishes from the menu and I have not been disappointed with anything. Price has recently gone up, which is understandable with the current cost of ingredients. Still cheaper than average and very high quality.
discussed my choice and was offered a meal that suited but it wasn't hot. so I asked, 3 times, for it to be made madras hot and 3 times was told yes. just eaten it and not at all hot, more like a creamy soup.
I thought i would give this curry house a go a few months back I always eat a chicken madras and it was good ordered 2 chicken madras tonight and they were the worst I've ever eaten there was no flavour at all, a curry out a jar has more spice to it. I rang they gave me 2 more they were no difference at all the chicken was chewy aswell all went in the bin and ordered the same from eles where what was perfect. Will definitely not be spending money here again.
I've had a few meals from here a d enjoyed them but tonight's Tikka Masala was poor. Thin watery sauce that as it settled on my plate a clear liquid I assume was water just separated from the rest of it and surrounded it like moat. I took the meal back to the shop and asked for my money back which they did without argument. One star is for this meal only others have been OK.
Very Disappointed . I used Mumbai Blues three times and enjoyed the food - until my last meal. I ordered and stood back while waiting. The regular chap who takes the orders is a nice guy and always polite ... so I was so disappointed at what came next. The guy stood in the kitchen amidst the cooks, took out a very thin and flimsy tissue and wiped all around his nose and mouth. He then wiped sweat from his forehead with his bare hand ... before promptly proceeding to insert many card lids onto the foil containers which they use for takeaways, as well as packing Nans and other food into the takeaway bags. He did all this without washing his hands and in full view of the counter area. Each of us have subjective boundaries on what we'll accept. Mine were breached at my last and, sadly, FINAL visit to Mumbai Blues.
Absolutely awful food, the Pelau rice was greasy, the Special House Curry was tasteless and worse yet, the Chicken Dopeaza made my partner feel nauseous after a couple of hours. In 40 years of enjoying Indian Cuisine, I can safely say this is the worst I've ever had the misfortune to eat or throw away, half eaten.
Good price. Chicken tandoori is very nice and has amazing flavours
Tried it once, never again. Below average score for below average Indian food. Won't be so lazy next time and will drive into leamington for a proper Indian take out..
