Sent a number of messages online re purchasing a car, all were ignored, finished up ringing them in the end, enquired as to why my enquiries had gone unanswered, reply, we are a bit busy you know!! I'll get the finance man to ring you, 3 days later still nothing, this garage are so busy they don't need my 10k. Don't ring now as my hard earned "Key worker" cash is being spent elsewhere, I hope the recession finishes you, it will be rightly deserved with this style of business sense, or lack of it.
Avoid at all costs. Was sold a car that was far below a reasonable standard. After numerous times of him saying he will sort it, things are still not sorted nearly three months later, he does only the bare minimum. He is aggressive and says anything to get you to leave. He seamed reasonable at first but as it turns out he is just another chancer who will rsort to aggressive tactics when the lies fail. Just don't bother.
I was sceptical of this dealer, based on the previous reviews. An in-house garage always raises alarm bells. I've been done over in the past from unscrupulous dealers that seem to go bust a few months later. I did a bit of digging into this company and it's filing history and owners and the comments from the dealer pan out on previous reviews. I bought the car as the price was very good, a few days later it died. I thought dam I've been done again! I phoned them up and followed up with email and they took the car back, ran diagnostics and ended up being a faulty alternator which they replaced for free with a years warranty. after reading a few forums this is a very common fault on this car and it's just pot luck when it happens, lucky for me a few days after purchasing so win for me. To put myself at ease and recommend to do for all used cars, book it in to Halfords for a free safety check, they will find anything wrong as they want to get your money! Anyway it sailed through with no issues! So in the end I am happy with my purchase 3 months on and the dealer is a nice guy and got the car sorted out for me. Volvo V50 2009

Excellent service from Motormania, Chester Road, Manchester. Bought an Audi Q7 in August 2021. When I bought the car, there was a warning light regarding air suspension, but the car ran without any issues. They mentioned if any problems, bring it back and it is on us, and will fix it for free. Before the MOT due, I wanted to rectify the problem as it was with the suspension. I mentioned that to them, they agreed to do the repair for free, they found the problem was with air compressor, ordered a new one, installed it , tested and rectified the problem for me. Carried out the MOT as well. Thanks for that.
I bought a low-cost, used car from Motor Mania in early January. Let’s be clear – I am not related in any way to anyone who works there... in fact, I’m probably as far removed as it would be possible to be. Ask them for my email, if you want to confirm. I bought the car within a 20 minute window. The customer service was great and I had a joke and a laugh with 2 or 3 employees, paid a large deposit and went home to wait for it to be MOT’d. They said the car had just come in and they hadn’t really looked it over. At home, I looked up the MOT history and “Oh, no!” the most recent ‘fail’ sheet had about 6 major, expensive faults listed, and about 10 pretty major advisories. Then my wife started reading out some negative reviews of Motor Mania, and I thought, “I’m stuffed”. So, I wrote and said I’d seen the history and if they wanted out of the deal that was OK with me. They wrote back, basically saying, “We’re on to it”. So, I copied the MOT fail sheet and mailed it to them. They said, “We’ve seen it. Don’t worry. No problem”. Long story short – they did all the fail and advisory repairs. They MOT’d the car, gave me a guarantee and a warranty, serviced and valeted the car and they told me that, if there were any problems, to bring it back and they would fix it. I know the cost of car repairs and they have not made much money on this deal. When I asked why they did it, I was told it was a matter of pride. The whole experience has been very good; communications have been easy, with light-hearted banter and I have nothing but praise for this company. I will update this review in 6 months, then a year, and let you know, if I’ve been stitched up, but I think I’ll be writing only more good things. Thank you, Ali and team! UPDATE: My car developed a problem. A major issue, I thought. And I was worried that Motormania would tell me that it wasn't covered by warranty. I'm not giving details in the review because I'm trying to say what happened, not set precedent. I contacted them, and they were still the same friendly, jovial characters I had dealt with at the sale. They took the car and kept it for 10 days, which seemed like a very long time, but I wanted to trust them. When they eventually asked me to to collect the car, they told me that they had actually been unable to trace the fault. They had been replacing parts, each time thinking the problem was solved, only to find on a longer test run that the problem still existed, even if at a lesser degree. As I said before, I am mechanically adept, so I know what they meant. They had spent several hundred pounds "throwing money at the car" to solve the problem. Get this: repairs to this car now run at more than I paid for it! Why would they do this? Again, I was told "pride" and "we hate something to beat us". They also told me, "if you think you know what the problem is, bring it back and we'll fix it - even if it is next year, or the year after". I had taken a friend with me and he said he wanted to buy a car. They advised him that his choice of car was not a good one, and gave him reasons why. He asked what they would give him for his car and they told him "a lot less than you expect, and here's why..." There was no attempt to hoodwink him. Everything I personally see of this company makes me wonder about the negative reviews they have received... Honestly, I would recommend them to anyone. Even, as I said before, just as nice guys to have a laugh with. Thank you again, Mr Ali and team! UPDATE It is now almost a year since I bought the car. It has been a good, reliable, no issues car, and I am grateful for all the help and advice received from Motormania, as mentioned above. One of the most important things for me was knowing that Mr Ali and team were prepared to repair the car if the niggly problem revealed its source. They convinced me that the car was 'sound' and that I would be happy with it. I am happy with it - and more than happy with Motormania.
I cant recommend this garage enough! Ali and the team went above and beyond to get a car sorted for me! Ive never come across a garage as open and honest in all fairness they kept me upto date throughout the entire process and didnt try to keep anything hidden like a lot of traders do 10/10 for customer service Thanks Ali!
Excellent experience from start to finish. Was looking for a car for a few months before coming across motor mania and they had a car I was looking for. Went to view the car and the staff was very helpful and informant regarding the car. I went back for a test drive the next day and Saj from motor mania came with me and explained how to use everything in the car ie check the oil, the brakes etc as everything is done through the on board computer. I purchased the car and collected the next day. There was a couple of small issues I found with the car after several days so I rang them up and they told me to bring the car in the following day. I took the car in and everything was rectified. I highly recommend motor mania and want to say a massive thank you to all the staff and Saj for all there help.
I bought a 2015 Corsa and within a week the gearbox has gone refused to fix it will be seeing them in court scammers do not trust them!!
I visited Motormania after finding a BMW X5 on Autotrader. I am always wary of visiting dealerships as I generally hate the whole experience of aggressive selling and haggling on price etc. There was none of that here! I spent a good hour going over the car and checking for faults and at no point did I feel rushed or pressured to buy. They actually spotted an issue with a widow seal and pointed it out to me I hadn't noticed it and they had it repaired for the next day when I collected the car. When I collected the car I noticed a creaking noise from the rear suspension which wasn't there/I hadn't noticed on the test drive. They told me to drive it for a bit and see if it went away as the car had been standing for some time, and if it persisted to bring the car back. Most people would get alarm bells ringing here as we all know as soon as you've driven it off the forecourt a lot of places will wash their hands of it. The noise didn't go away, I took the car back and they fixed it no questions asked. It took a couple of days but they worked very hard to make sure the fault was sorted and I left a happy customer. Excellent service, lovely guys and I think I got a really nice car at a really good price. Will be back for my next one. Thank you.
