NEVER SIT AT THIS PLACE!!! Never ever!!!! I gave it 5 tries because I live in the area, and every time disappointed. This was the last time to pay so expensive for such ugly food. I tried their burger before, the beef patty seems to be from Waitrose or even cheaper supermarket, overall there is NO SAUCE inside the burger. Fish & chips, the fish was smelly, not fresh, much better place is Mayfair chippy in Mayfair. But the most interesting thing is how they calculate the bill. CHEATER place. You can see the receipt attached. The atmosphere looks warm and nice, but it’s really not worth it, cause the food is disgusting and you end up paying for table you are sitting at triple the price.
Food and service were average. The place was packed and they seemed to be understaffed. The waiters kept doing faces every time we asked for something, it was weird we didn’t feel welcomed.
Worst experience ever! I booked to watch the game and they’ve promised a full screen! When I arrived the it was a 24inch TV from a distance and when I wanted to change tables they refused and very rude. They lied to us and ruined our night. The manger was yelling at me !!!!!!!!! And said get out! I do not recommend! Horrible service. They refused to return our deposit.

SHAMBLES! Owner threatened us with the police all because we asked for the food that was brought out to be returned- chicken tacos, Truffle fries & Squid tasted they they had been reheated while the tacos consisted of a terrible mushy chicken like sludge that came out of a can. 2 pcs for £11 But I wouldn’t even be writing this review about the food had the owner not shown us so much aggression towards us. The squid was chewy. Fries were rock hard & brown. The waiter waited until the very end to say we had to pay for everything, despite us only taking 1 bite from 2 of the starters & sending back the food ages before. The owner came bouncing out saying “we ordered the food so we must pay”. He totally disregarded our concerns and then went on to cause a scene giving us the ultimatum of paying for food we did not eat or he calls the police, we asked him to proceed because I am definitely not the one to try & scam first of all!!! We ended up calling the police ourselves because he wouldn’t let us leave- but also never called the police thinking we would get scared but his silly trick didn’t work this time around & in fact back fired..Even the police said that the owner was wasting police time and we’re well within our rights to return food….So after ALL of the unnecessary drama & him lying about calling the police we could have just just paid for our drinks and left. I’m guessing by the attitude on the waitress’s and staff in this place they must be poorly trained & under paid because I’ve never witnessed anything like it. The owner is a terrible, TERRIBLE man who tries to threaten & intimidate women!! Awful service, incompetent staff, sloppy food and an overall appalling establishment considering the location. We dine, lunch / brunch in Knightsbridge etc multiple times a week and this has to be one of the worst places I’ve come across- it’s shocking to think how they are still operating to be honest. Going by the reviews I can see we were not the only ones who’ve gone though this
Unfortunately was one of the worst dinners I’ve ever had. Was so excited to try this place as always looks busy and has good vibes outside in the summer. However, shrimp burgers were pre-frozen, my friends meatballs were cold and hard and overall a horrible experience. Wish I didn’t try this place.
good food, good ambiance, a little expensive but good quality
Very very very bad food, very bad services. And if you complain, the OWNER of the place will come to you holding the dish that that you complained about telling you that we served this amount of dishes this day and no one complained. The glasses smell bad. The table next to us was dirty and stayed for half an hour without anyone cleaning it. Over all if you see this place never go in. The manager was really helpful and he wouldn’t make us pay full bill. He wiped the drinks made us pay only the thing we really ate.
Food was overpriced. Nothing to write home about This was once such a charming little place- a local place. It looks like they are trying to compete with the other restaurants in the neighborhood- but their service is poor and they are not necessarily polite. They let some folks sit there forever and rush other folks out. This is definitely not on my list again. Go elsewhere in the neighborhood. Motcomb's has lost its groove!
Let’s start with only a couple of positive side- nice decor and the location. I recently moved in there and this place shouldn't exist in such a premium place. Awful waiting staff, customer service and the owner's even worse which probably explains why the service and the food’s such poor quality. Their burger must be cooked their way, and I like it rare- to- med. We haven't even finished the Mains, and they could see that, despite, 2 waiting staff popped over and asked within 2 mins interval ‘if we have finished’! Then the owner old, fat, short guy comes around asked the minute after our mains over if we want anything else to rush us off -what a disgrace. Wish I could say something good about the food as consolation, but alas, the food is awful- French fries looked/tasted like from McDonald's, the burger is kind of well-done, distastefully cooked, and below average quality -god knows what kind of meat they had served me. Steer away and don’t waste your money in this awful restaurant. Note- I couldn't post this review without selecting one star non-applicable option.
