My favorite chain. Yes, it was all a bit better 10 years ago, but thank god it still exists and offers an alternative to Tesco. Security cams? Security guards? Couldnt see any. They are surely there, but far from being so prevalent as one of these odd reviews suggest.
Another evening ruined by out of date meat from this awful store. I bought these packs of pork *yesterday*, and today I discovered that they expired *yesterday*. Not even a yellow sticker on them. This is not the first time I've picked up a pack of meat and realised a day later that it's no longer usable. Have unwittingly bought completely out of date meat from there on occasion as well. I shouldn't have to inspect every single thing I pick up in case it's out of date. But that's what you have to do at this store. Just gross.
Changed from 5 to 3 stars. Shop uses to have great vegan selections but it's really done down hill.. Much of the few remaining vegan options have been replaced with own brand alternatives.nnNote - even if it's a warn day, bring a warm coat. It's always really cold inside.
10/08/24 16 50.nnFirst time shopping in this branch, and dreadful experience. Dived in to pick up 2 specific items. In a hurry to catch a bus, but should have had enough time. Picked up 4 pack of yogurt & put it in my basket, then saw all four pots were burst and had covered basket in yogurt. Picked up another pack to find it was the same. Went to self scan tills and had to go from one to another as nothing happens when you press the screen. Time was getting on, and I needed help from a staff member - there was no one to be seen. Eventually completed what should have been a very straightforward process. Needless to say, I exited to find the bus driving off.
A great super market for all your weekly shopping needs. Staff are helpful and patient, food is fresh and good quality
