The quality of the our renovated was absolutely first class. Absolutely every detail had been attended to and we were stunned with the outcome. It takes a while to wait for the final product but we'll worth it when it arrives. They have upgraded their communication which is fast to ensure you get updates- they also have a project update site which ensures that you are fully updated as the van is rebuilt. You get a regular photos of progress. Great friendly team.

In May, Mark, Rob and company delivered us "Lucy", and she has made us very happy! Lucy is our beautiful green '79 Westfalia. The layout that M&W use is the best we've seen - it's very practical even when there are 6 of us driving, eating and sleeping in it. She definitely has her own personality (as Mark warned most 40 year old T2s do), so there have been moments when we have had to be patient... but Mark has always looked after her (and us)! This summer we've been from the Lake District to Bordeaux, giving us happy family memories with smiles & waves from passersby. She is gorgeous - and perhaps she knows... Overall we are very pleased is and am sure we'll have many many years of fun in her.

UPDATE 08/12/2017) Complaint made and van being returned for third time since June for a large number of faults to be addressed. UPDATE (07/09/2017) I have left the van at M&W once more with a list of 60 small faults/issues that I am dissatisfied with. Several were remedied previously and reappeared. ORIGINAL REVIEW I am currently very disappointed with the service from Morecambe and Wize. After an eight month wait and a bill of just under £15,000, shortcomings in the quality of the restoration of my T25 have surfaced only days after I collected the vehicle from them. I have found numerous areas which were not restored satisfactorily and display the signs of rust. A small number of bubbles in the paintwork exist. Some tap welded plates have not been sealed along the edges. There has been water ingress which has collected in the front passenger well. Paint has been wiped on the front passenger seat and driver door and not removed. The exhaust pipe which was sealed has been replaced without being resealed. The leisure battery was left unconnected. More work had to be done on the van than first envisaged but restoration started two months after the date promised and the van has been left untouched for weeks at a time in the workshop. The final price of the work came in at £5,000 (50%) over budget. Mark said he would send me weekly updates during the restoration but failed to do so. The whole experience has been lengthy, expensive and stressful. Mark is confident that the work was done properly but has offered to "remedy these areas". My own experience might be unique so should not be thought of as a true reflection of the overall quality of work undertaken by Morecambe and Wize.

Utterly thrilled with our new interior and roof on our ‘73 bay, Percy, fitted by Morecambe and Wize. Fantastic job, plus kept updated on progress throughout with pics! Thoroughly recommend entrusting your prized van to their professional hands.

Since I was a teenager growing up in NZ I’ve always wanted an old kombi, but being a ‘girl’ & not very ‘mechanical’, everyone always screamed ‘don’t do it’!! But the guys at Morecambe & Wize have helped make this dream come true - yes they are on the other side of the world (I now live in Australia) , but Mark & his team couldn’t have been friendlier & more helpful. I’ve just visited the setup in Morecambe & met everyone whilst on a trip to the UK. Stuart showed me around & introduced me to everyone on the floor. The guys are all so enthusiastic & obviously passionate about what they do. Mark oversees everything - the business is very much his baby - & he makes an ok coffee too! Yes, the process takes time and patience, but these old babies are aren’t just sitting around on street corners waiting to be found. M&W source them from all over the world & the wait is worth it. Having now met my “Lola” for the first time, I can’t wait to follow her restoration over the upcoming months - my only issues now, are what color upholstery, stitching & curtain fabric to choose! If you’re ever considering a customized kombi restoration, then in all seriousness, don’t look any further than the team at Morecambe & Wize...these guys are awesome.
