Both monsoon and accessorise within the same shop. Plenty of bargains to be had at current time of review. My only criticism would be that the shop is fairly small and cramped, not much space to move around without getting close to other people when busy. At one point I saw a lady in a wheelchair in the shop struggling to get through.
I bought a set of earrings and the lady who served me ruined the experience I had in the shop. The card reader was playing up and she was just being awkward about it and made me feel like a school girl. I paid for my items and left, clearly I won't be coming back. She was not polite or kind. Just pushy to do the bare minimum. When I was looking at other items she would follow behind kinda weird. Or be opposite as I was looking.l at the clothes.
Really nice shop does like it says on the label. From head to feet all those extras us ladies love! Also gorgeous range of hats from casual to wedding. Plus children's bits my grandson has many necklaces to colour code his outfits he's 2yrs.
My daughters had their ears pierced about 8 weeks ago. They both chose tiny white gold piercing studs with CZs which really sparkle a lot and are great quality and look lovely. The experience was hygienic and the piercer was very professional and it was not like Cs where it’s like a conveyer belt of people getting piercings done in a tiny very busy space. My daughters had never previously shown a great deal of interest in getting their ears pierced as they do so much sport, the initial 6 weeks would be a challenge although I had said that they could. My advice would be after cleaning with solution to turn the earrings not push the stem to the front, then to the back, as advised in the leaflet, as this can cause the earring to tighten to the second notch which was too tight for my girls ears and meant the tiny stone end was clamped painfully almost being pressed into the hole. Once we ran out of the special solution I got the girls to use tiny wash cloths and plain water or water and Johnson’s baby wash to gently wash around and then twist the earrings - this was a great improvement - they had found using the cotton pads and solution twice daily a challenge probably because of the method of moving post back and forth. In hindsight maybe I should have made them wait til they were older, as one has a ridiculously low threshold of pain and we had a few horrendous occasions trying to get the earring back into the hole after she had over tightened them and trying to loosen them off, the back had come off and the earring fell out neither of them were as capable at looking after their piercings as I had expected. I was 16 when I had mine done. FYI On the occasions where the earrings fell out we would clean the earring front, post and back, with surgical spirit before replacing it. We never cleaned the actual piercing hole with anything but clear water, and we always had very clean hands & nails when cleaning or touching the piercings or ears.
Came into the Accessorize part of the store at around 14:30 today Sunday. I was a bit disappointed with my visit, especially since it is a 40 minute journey from me. I waited at the till and no one served me for a few mins, until this woman came over didn’t even apologise for the wait she was rude and everything felt like it was too much for her. I asked if I could use student discount and she just looked blankly when I showed her the discount on my phone luckily she put it through though and then I told her I’d got an Accessorize card and she just shrugged her shoulders at me and stared at me so I just handed her the card i really didn't know what to do and tbh i wished i hadnt have gone there. also she didnt wrap my items up in tissue with a sticker so i was a bit disappointed especially since the things i bought were a present.
Some lovely things to buy in here. Only 4 star as the earrings I chose in here didn't have a price on, no one seemed to know what to do, and when the lady serving me went to ask the someone in charge she didn't come over to help, just gave her instructions that were useless.
Sunday 19th June. Such a wonderful sales assistant who spent so much time with me trying to fit me out with a wedding outfit. I didn't get her name but she may have been the Manager or senior sales person. Many thanks for your help.
The outfits and accessories are pretty. but I bought a prom dress and it was too small so I wanted it in a bigger size on the website on MY phone the desired size was there but in store's ipad it never came up!
Poor service. Despite there being an orderly que, the assistant permitted a customer to push her way straight to the cashier to make some enquiries about a top she wanted. The discussion between the two lasted several minutes. I eventually left my items on the side and walked out. Unfortunately monsoon lost my custom.
Love Monsoon so unhappy that so many branches are closing. High quality clothes and bags that are a bit different to what the usual high street chains offer. Hope this store stays open.
