Great beach for dogs, anytime of the year. Parking right by the beach and the harbour or Cobb is right there, too, for food and drinks.
Large car park at the harbour end of the town.nFairly well signposted and located with the help of sat nav.nA short walk to the harbour end about a 10 minute walk along the prom to the town.nNice that for the summer months they had extended the time you have to pay for the privilege for coming to the town to spend money in the many pubs, cafes and eateries until 9pm.nSadly It's a UK wide past time of let's exploit the tourists.
Quite a few spaces in this car park, but as parking in any car parks in Lyme Regis, you have to get there early as they fill up pretty quick. We found that in this car park that the spaces are very tight which makes it more difficult with a larger car. To add to the problem, not everyone can get their cars parked within the lines, even small cars. The car park was very accessible to the beach, pubs and restaurants. There is a toilet block there, but do not know what it was like. Monmouth beach is dog friendly but has very large stones at first then graduates to a bit more sand. It’s very peaceful there so very nice to walk the dog or just sit and read a book.
Didn't take cash so took an age to pay for parking. No signal. Eventually after half hour managed to use 'just park' to pay to park. £9.60 for 5 hours. Spaces really small.
