Monmouth Beach Car Park is one of the most convenient places to park if you’re planning to explore Lyme Regis, the historic harbor area that locals call The Cobb, or the Jurassic Coast.nThe parking area is quite large and handled traffic well during my visit, although I can easily see it filling up during busy summer weekends and holiday periods.nAs the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I spend a lot of time exploring interesting locations, and convenient parking can make a huge difference when you’re trying to maximize a day of adventure.nOne thing I appreciated was how straightforward the parking process was. There are multiple payment kiosks available, making it easy to purchase a ticket and get on with your day. Credit cards are accepted, which is always helpful for travelers.nA public restroom is located right at the edge of the parking area, which is a nice feature before heading out onto the coast.nThe location itself is excellent. Within just a few minutes’ walk you’ll find gift shops, cafés, food options, and direct access to the beach. The shoreline starts out quite rocky near parts of Monmouth Beach before transitioning into areas with more sand.nAs the author of outdoor books and someone who enjoys exploration, I especially appreciated that this parking area provided easy access to the Jurassic Coast fossil-hunting areas. It made the entire outing simple and stress-free.nDuring my visit, parking attendants were actively checking vehicles, so make sure you purchase a valid ticket and display it properly.nFor anyone planning to visit Lyme Regis, hunt for fossils, walk along the historic harbor area that locals call The Cobb, or explore the Jurassic Coast, this is an excellent and convenient place to start.
The most convenient car park for people who don't want to walk up or down Hills. During busy seasons, you can find a space about half the time. The one-way system makes it relatively easy to get around. When we were there, the cash machine wasn't working, but the card machine was fine.
Proper car park. Facility for card & phone payment. Don't even have to remember your registration number. Paper ticket issued, one half on your dashboard, the other in your pocket as a reminder. Ticket machines are protected under a micro bus shelter on each unit.
A large carpark with a reasonable amount of spaces, even on a busy day. The prices are as you would expect for the area.
Great location really close to Lyme Regis beach and shops. We thought the price of £2 per hour was very reasonable. We didn’t look at the long term parking options.
