Quite a few spaces in this car park, but as parking in any car parks in Lyme Regis, you have to get there early as they fill up pretty quick. We found that in this car park that the spaces are very tight which makes it more difficult with a larger car. To add to the problem, not everyone can get their cars parked within the lines, even small cars. The car park was very accessible to the beach, pubs and restaurants. There is a toilet block there, but do not know what it was like. Monmouth beach is dog friendly but has very large stones at first then graduates to a bit more sand. It’s very peaceful there so very nice to walk the dog or just sit and read a book.
Lyme Regis is a difficult place to park when it's busy so I would suggest you head straight to this car park which is pretty big. Spaces are tight so you might not get in and out of your car easily unless you can get on an end of a row. The beach alongside is shingle but more sandy when the tide goes out. It's the closest parking if you want to walk along to the ammonite pavement fossils. Ityalso only a couple of minutes walk to the harbour, the Cobb and the town .
Great beach for dogs, anytime of the year. Parking right by the beach and the harbour or Cobb is right there, too, for food and drinks.
Places are very tight, price is reasonable, access to beach is easy.
