Parked here on a sunny evening and strolled into Lyme Regis. Walked along the Cobb and looked at the sun setting on the distant coast and Golden Cap. Quite breathtaking. Strolled along the promenade passing full bars that are obviously popular. Would recommend visiting here and see where the French Lieutenant's Woman was filmed.
It is small and get full very quickly even on a random weekday morning in September
Lyme is such a beautiful place I just love coming here, perfect for Bikers, awesome pasties and ice creams.
First time in Dorset it is beautiful but the disgusting price of parking in every town even on coastal paths which used to be free is unacceptable no need for these extortionate prices over £6 for 3 hours then rises to £15 people just can’t afford this especially pensioners, i feel sorry fot the shop owners who need customers but its putting so many people off visiting these town councils meed to look long and hard as they are completely ripping people off
Small car park, but if you arrive early you will be able to park ideal for beach and shops it's a lovely location very steep in places plus small pavements everyone is very friendly and helpful, make sure you have coats as even on a sunny day it gets quite windy we visited in April a bit quieter.
