Easy parking easy walk to the front by walking through the lovely very well kept gardens. Please park down in the Cob car park if you have walking difficulties, see so many struggling to walk back to car park. Free after 6pm but read Parking Sign carefully.
This car park is OK for short stays, this price is OK for about 4 hours. It's in a good location as its only a short walk down to the beach, although walking back up the hill requires some stamina nnThe bonus here for us is that there are two electric car chargers @ 150 kW Combo CCS and one chadmo Chadmo , there's a few lower powered chargers here too.
This place has fresh milk straight from the farm, which had milk shake, which was lovely and their ice creams are same which makes taste better.
Great carpark if you are sufficiently mobile and well to descend and climb steepish hill to Lyme Regis and back.nnWhilst this is not the Lyme Regis park and ride car park, that's the other side of Lyme Regis, it is the termination point of Lyme Regis Park and ride bus route and it is possible after paying for your parking in the usual way to then buy a park and ride ticket on the bus for each person who needs one down to the small Tesco. Unfortunately, despite being just a 2 min journey, if that, they charge 3.00 per person for this service each way you can catch a bus back from the bottom of the hill even for persons with a non local bus pass.nnBus drivers are a bit unhelpful and not particularly pleasant, or at least the one today wasn't. He initially told me that Holmbush was just a termination and turnaround point for the parkrun and ride bus and implied it was not possible to catch it from there down to Lyme Regis, only once pushed on this did he acknowledge that it was of course possible to buy tickets down to Tesco. But then pointed out she couldn't use her bus passa Nd we would each have to pay 3.00 and there is no option to buy a return.nnWe did catch the bus down, and other than the 6.00 price for the 2 of us to experience one of the shortest bus rides ever, it was otherwise a reasonable location to be dropped at to then wander down past some of the shops on the hill down to Lyme Regis without having had to walk all down the hill with my mother and her walking stick. Due to the price, once we had spent our time in Lyme I left my mother down at the small car park at the bottom of the hill whilst I ran up to get the car and drive it down to pick her up, rather than paying a further £6.00 to get the park and ride bus back up. Other than high prices and unhelpful bus driver, it was an ok experience, but would not use it again as it is.nnAnd I would not be likely to use the park and ride the other side of Lyme either as it seems a bit ridiculous when visiting front he west to have to drive through Lyme Regis and out the other side to get to the official park and ride, per haps there should be a more joined up solution to allow people to more affordably park and ride from Holmbush and allow senior citizens from any area to use the bus passes. There are of course other services that run up and down the hill but they are not as frequent as the park and ride and I'm not sure if they are any cheaper or not.
Good size car park convenient for the Harbour and Town. But both require steep walks up and down. Charges just increased making it expensive. In line with most Dorset Council parking.
