Holmbush is a well laid out car park with bays that are wide and long enough for modern cars and SUVs. There is also a section for campervans, which makes it quite versatile. I paid £8 for four hours, which I think is reasonable.nnTo reach the seafront, you can either walk down Pound Street or take the smaller sloped road. The slope has steps leading through a public garden, or if you go a little farther there is step-free access. Going down is easy, but the walk back up can feel quite steep. I noticed a few people found it difficult, so it is worth keeping in mind if mobility is a concern.nnThe only minor issue was that the grassy area beside the car park had quite a lot of litter. There is a bin near the footpath entrance, but a few more around the site might help encourage people to use them properly.nnOverall, it is a spacious, reasonably priced car park and far more relaxed than some of the alternatives in town.
Easy parking easy walk to the front by walking through the lovely very well kept gardens. Please park down in the Cob car park if you have walking difficulties, see so many struggling to walk back to car park. Free after 6pm but read Parking Sign carefully.
Ok folks. Here is the extortionate pricing for this car park in Lyme Regis. Great location but absolutely disgusting prices. £15.80 to park all day. Don't even pay that in St Ives, Cornwall! An absolute rip off! That's greedy councils for ya!
Good Car Park for access to town centre although there is steep climb up the hill back to the Car Park. Plenty of spaces with onsite toilet facilities. I would of given four or five stars if it wasn't for the changing rate. Four hours for £7.90 then the next hourly rate is ten hours for £15.80. Most people I expect would stay longer than four hours on a nice sunny day so you are then forced to pay the ten hour rate which is a bit of a rip off. There should be a rate for 6 or 8 hours around £10.00 to make it fairer. Other alternative Car Parks closer to the beach only allow for three hours maximum and the Park And Ride service does not seem to exist anymore which is a shame as it was a much cheaper option.
Good sized car park, reasonably priced. With clean toilets and a very welcoming little cafe after a really steep hill climb.
