Very delicious burgers. I had a feeling the meat was freshly delivered from a local farm. It took to cook a bit longer than usually, but the end result was awesome so the wait time was well deserved. Was very surprised by the democratic pricing and menu. I am going DEFINITELY come back to this place with family and friends.
We stopped here for an evening meal and a drink. The pub was clean and tidy and the food menu was extensive. We did wait quite some time for our meal which was surprising as the pub was fairly quiet. There is a car park at the front of the building and the staff were curious and helpful. The food was to a reasonable standard for the price we paid.
Greene king pub at extremely reasonable prices. Different deals for each day even 2 Sunday roasts for £12.49. Build your own burger on a Wednesday for £5. Anyday 2 pub meals for £11.99. Massive outside area, small play area for the kids. Service with a smile cannot grumble for the price.Food: 4/5
Two lunch time visits made.Drinks only on first visit. Staff good and helpful. Pub almost empty. Second visit had a few more customers. We were a family group of four, only one other table had ordered food as far as I could tell. We ordered main courses which took close to forty minutes to arrive. Our food was well cooked, hot and tasty. These two visits did not inspire us to have lunchtime meals there again.
I booked a table for 10 this morning and ordered food to be ready for 1pm as we had limited time for our lunch break. Everything was served in good time, prices were reasonable, service was good and there wasn't a plate that wasn't clean! Definitely recommend the Monk's Brook. Updated: May 2024 Met friends for lunch and we all had burgers Wednesday is £5 burger day. These were really good and hit the spot.
A fun venue. Loads of screens. Good for sports. Adding food now. Burger very nice. I would eat here again. Needs better brandy selection. Martell VS for brandy and cokes would be better than 3 barrels. Darts!Food: 5/5
We booked a table online 30 mins before arrival, a young gent explained what the pub had done for social distancing etc and showed us to our table very reassuring. We decided to give the app a go with the ordering, not the best app in the world but we managed it fine and we got what we ordered so that was good too. Staff seemed very pleasant and food was good value and tasted good. The biggest let down was some of the other customers who either didn't see the need to socially distance or couldn't read! Eg. The pub had taken the time to do a one in one out system on loos but it was just being ignored. The loos could do with a refurb as well - gents hot water not working and tap was very loose as I told my 4 yr old - its important to wash your hands with hot water and soap after using the loo! If I am being picky in my old age I'd also say the music was a tad loud..! ;- The pub served its purpose, we needed somewhere for a meal and drink before continuing our journey and did exactly that. An OK experience as per the star rating.
Terrible service , table booked sundsy lunchtime for 9 people , no roast dinner available, seating terrible 2 round tables pushed together, will not return
Always friendly. Freshly cooked and always nice and hot. Short waiting time to be served.Food: 5/5
Great staff and friendly, great atmosphere except for some of the younger crowd, avoid watching football matches there, some teenagers acts violently.Food: 4/5
