We have recently made two visits. A lunchtime and evening meal with some of our family. The food and service was very good on both occasions. Nice and bright inside, our last visit a few years ago the decor was then typical of many pubs, The experience we had on both occasions will ensure we will return more frequently
A wonderfully busy fun atmosphere place for a Friday evening with friends. Dog friendly in the restaurants' eating area. The pub is hidden away from main roads - what a great secret place to have been kept from me so long!! Great menu. Staff 100% friendly and efficient..so tip them - they really do deserve it!! I had the buttermilk chicken burger with added cheese and bacon, amazing . Will go again.
50th Birthday celebration. The food was amazing. Absolutely amazing roast. Staff were lovely and made me feel very special. Nice if a bit overwhelming surprise birthday song from the staff with the most amazing dessert tray brought out to the table. Thank you all at the Farmhouse for making it a special night. X
The best quiche we've ever tasted! And it was gluten free. Wonderful little pods outside provide the mix of being outside whilst shielded from the elements.
We visited The Farmhouse after it had been taken over by Lunch in November 2022 - the food was delicious and atmosphere was really warm and cosy. Look forward to enjoying our regular again!
This restaurant has been done up very nicely and the service was good. The pizza oven looks impressive but the pizza itself wasn't to my taste; flavours were good, but the crust was too thin and crispy for me. A side of cheesy truffle chips was very very oily and scorching hot which made them hard to eat. Room for improvement, but my partner liked his steak sandwich.
We went for a lovely meal on Thursday evening, we had the hiltonbury burger and the chicken burger, which was delicious and presented beautifully. We sat outside on a day where it was supposed to be raining, but the table outside was well covered and had fairy lights for a nice cosy atmosphere. The tables were also separated enough so that there was a nice distance between other tables, so we felt very comfortable in our space. I can not recommend enough, and will most certainly visit again!
Nice pub for drink although a little pricey. Sad to see that Emma has gone. Seems the menu has changed and become expensive so decided not to eat.
Won't rate it 5 stars only because my main course wasn't tasty. 4.5 stars: We tryed this place recently and it was good . The pub is very nice inside, clean and many sits inside and few outside. Steak was good and tasty, Pizza was very good, loved the base. The Plaice was fresh but.... dish was very plain ... fish, boiled potatoes and some fennel,,, at least chef could roast the potatoes and add some grilled vegetables to the dish . only because of this I removed one star Drink from the bar were nice and service fast and friendly. Good parking outside. We will definitely come back and suggest this place to others!
Excellent early family meal. Great pizza for the children. Staff were charming.
