A lovely, interesting and fun visit today. The guide was fantastic and very engaging. Our 8 year old dressed up, got into bed, went for a good lunch and cake and said she had the best day ever. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you all for a great day out.

I came here for a day to run willow workshops, so I didn't get to see inside the house at all, but I was so impressed by what I did see. What a little gem this place is. There's a beautifully calming and peaceful atmosphere that pervades throughout. What impressed me most of all, though and what makes this place all the more special are the people that work and volunteer here. Many of these on my visit were wearing period costume. They are so knowledgeable about their subject and so authentic in their presentation of living history. Returning here is an absolute must.

Nicely set up manor house showing how people lived in 1620. Value for money. The house is set up to allow you to touch the exhibits in the house which meant that the children in the house were interested. Nice cafe as well. You then get the opportunity to come back anytime in the next 12 months. Excellent!

Lovely old house. Fully furnished and you can pick up the artifacts and sit on the chairs. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Reasonable prices and the ticket entitles entry for one year. Well worth a visit.
