Need improvement. Been told to get appointments over the phone at 8:15 a.m., but then they put phone on auto recording. No way you can get an appointment. I couldn't get a single appointment in the last two years except once doctor phone me nor any of my family members. I got 4 kids and have to go to walk in centre when ever need urgent help.
50 times i phoned before being placed in a queue only to be told there were no apppointments left. No joke. Answering machine says dont visit the practice to make appointments then i was told to turn up at 8.15 and queue to make an appointment ‍.They make you go back next day for a sick note, instead of just doing it there and then and make you hang around while they decide to produce at their convenience. I think they like wasting your time. Reception staff and doctor are rude and act with impunity like nobody can touch them. It'll leave you seething. Avoid the place if you have an alternative.
Absolutely shocking surgery. Wait in a queue to be told at 9.30am no appointments for the day & no emergency appointments & u can’t pre book for a date when u can see a doctor!!! Some of us don’t sit on our arses all day & have to work!!! It’s disgusting u can’t see a GP at your own surgery when u need one.. since when did this service get this bad! This is why our A&E departments are overrun with minor ailments, surgeries aren’t seeing patients !!
Anonymous Post This surgery is brilliant: been with them for almost 25 years. I have metastatic cancer, in my early 40s. From the moment of first seeing the GP at Millennium for a "lump" in Spring 2023 to finally finding out it had been metastatic cancer all along, in New Year 2024: the GPs have been brilliant in terms of support emotionally, physically, for minor emergencies not requiring Red Card, and working with the palliative nurses who are now my first point of contact. Prior to discovering I had cancer, the GPs went over and above to help with working out the mystery pain and fatigue I was getting with the subsequent impacts fatigue has on mental health. The GP practice have been there for our family, with full diligence and support, through several major crises for my mother and brother. The reception staff are all wonderful don't understand why they are being slammed in comments?. If people are polite and realistic about waiting, about human capacity, and respectful towards reception staff, this is returned. I have had periods living in different cities for short periods: and nowhere else I have lived comes close to Millennium. My current named GP is truly wonderful and was recommended by Dr Wigley who had been my named/preferred GP for 20 years: still miss some of the old partners who seem to have disappeared, and hoping my named GP stays!! She has been an absolute godsend taking on the complexity of my family, and throughout my cancer treatment. Thank you Millennium, for everything.
Phoned up at 8.14 to get an appointment for my ill 3 year old. Spent 49 minutes on hold as the first in the queue, but apparently there were no appointments left when I got through to someone at 9.03. Not sure what GPs even are for these days.
GP 'phone only' appointment calls never answered on time, waiting for very long time, often more than 1 HR, and the get cut off, so one has to call and join the queue again! Mediocre service, at best!
I need to speak to the GP because im already running out of tablets and if there's any alternative of my tablets and i already give the small note about my tablets because the chemist still out of stock and i already rung them but still out of stock and i don't know whats going on this is the first time that happened to me running out of tablets and the chemist still out of stock until now and the gp is close when i rung them and im getting fed up now with this nobody answering Now i receive another appointment about the cervical screening and i can't cope with that painful thing inside my private part i can't cope with it the painful thing inside my private part. No no and its getting me nervous about that
You can never get an appointment even when you call at 8:15, then you have the receptionists thinking they're your doctor and they're rude. Then when you finally get to see a doctor after the phone call they don't know any of your medical history eventhough your notes can be clearly seen.
Can only get an appointment if you call as soon as they open, except when you do call on opening the phone queues are immediately full, forcing you to call back 30+ times until you finally get through. They really need to change the system so that you can at least wait in a queue on the phone. It was also a month long wait to be registered at the surgery. Reception staff are polite but clearly very busy and I have yet to see a doctor as it's so inconvenient and difficult to make an appointment.
I give the surgery 5 stars. Been with the surgery for 25 years. The surgery is absolutely excellent. I'm scared to move out of the area as I don't know if I could find a GP practice where the senior doctors are of this calibre, as broad-thinking in their consulting and as diligent in their care. I am deeply saddened my named GP, Dr Wigley, has now retired. She truly went over and above for me. My new named GP is absolutely excellent, however.
