From the moment we stepped into the Mill on the Exe, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Celebrating my son’s birthday, the venue offered a feast not just for our palates but for our eyes too, with its stunning views and trendy ambiance. The menu catered to all tastes, ensuring that everyone, from my university-aged son and daughter, to the most discerning of diners, found something to relish.nnThe food was a culinary delight, with every dish perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Coupled with the comfortable seating, the atmosphere was just right for a leisurely meal and some entertaining people-watching. Such an amazing venue! Newly refurbished room are fantastic and really well decorated. Food and drinks as ever amazing and great value for money. Amazing garden which is also newly renovated and just is amazing to visit. The Mill is a must try if you are in the area.
Location is beautiful!nService was wonderful!nBut food... not so good... we had a roast with our 2 children. We were so excited after a long day to enjoy a great roast but we were left pretty disappointed.nWhen our dinner came out, it was luke warm to cold. The roast potatoes were dry and there was no little roast dinner touches... like stuffing, pigs in blankets, gravy to add to dinner... it was dry and quite bland.nWe were so gutted but there was colouring for the girls and a beautiful view. Our server was lovely and very efficient.nIt's just a shame about the food :
The meal was terrific, well cooked and seasoned. The serving staff, polite, helpful and efficient. The one downer was my disabled wife had to wait over 15 minutes to use the disabled toilets it was not the wait that was off but the fact that it was being used by a very able bodies member of staff, surely staff have their own facilities.
Really great location - beats the Quay as it is right on the water's edge! Gets very busy on sunny days and you can't book outdoor tables. Good food and attentive staff to dietary needs. Recommended
