Great location for town shopping, can get busy during peak times causing small queues but that's because it close proximity to shops. 4 hours max parking and pay using cash card or by phone.
Bit tight to get in and out of. Handy for shops and pay on leaving
Its a car park ...expensive if you stay over 3 hours !!
The pay machine took the money and didn't return the ticket! Communication button on both pay machines not working! Spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to the parking department, visit council offices and unable to help, got through on the phone and was told they would send someone out. Nobody arrived! Spent 90 minutes in total getting out of the car park!
Highly overpriced just like The Brooks car park, however it's easier to get in and out than that shamefully designed toxic nightmare. With shops closing down all the time will the Council realise they should encourage shoppers to stay four hours plus, not charge a thumping fifteen pounds? It's Winchester, not Oslo or Brisbane, the overcharging world champs for parking.
Didn't need to use this carpark as I was just visiting for the weekend and did not need my car. However this is a spacious well maintained place for parking and is extremely close to all the shops.
AVOID IF YOU WANT TO SPEND 4 or MORE HOURS SHOPPING! Good location especially for somebody who's not local, plenty of spaces, but extortionately expensive! If you take 4 hours or more spending time and money on the high street, expect a whooping £15 parking charge! No wonder the high streets don't do well attracting shoppers!
Very easy to pay. Not too expensive. But really nasty kerb stones on exit for longer vehicles with nice alloy wheels. Lose a star for that.
It's a carpark...... Spaces can be a little narrow free parking in the evening. Generally quiet later on. Very narrow entrance/exit, mind your alloys.
Easy access car park with contact less payment. Easy and quick and ideal to visit the cathedral.
