Always busy in this car park. Even though it's not free anymore. Could do with a tidy up it's looking tired. Close to the city centre. It's all downhill going into town but coming back up can be a struggle if you're pushing a wheelchair. There is seating halfway up by the famous law courts. The good thing about parking in this car park there is little tiny little alleyways on the back streets which go into town. No good for wheelchair users as there are stairs.
For someone who suffers from fear and trepidation about most multistorey carparks, I navigated this one with ease. No stupidly narrow awkward entrance, relatively easy pay facilities although no service so needed a photo of the pay terminal number to pay outside but other than that, fine, plus spaces to park.
I highly recommend you to find another parking , because we got a fine just because we have been a few centimeters outside the line .nAlso, contactless payment didn't work at all.
You pay a premium to use these facilities a little out the way of the town really. You need the Ringo app to pay to park but you can't get a phone signal inside the car park to book it which is a little daft.
Just a short walk from the high street and main shops, as well as the train station in the opposite direction.nThis place is large and always has plenty of space. We paid £7 for 4 hours on a Saturday which I feel is reasonable.nEasy to pay via the app.
