Southend's historic Kursaal Function Rooms renovated and open once again for hire!

Story

The Kursaal Function rooms are located just along the seafront in our beautiful grade II listed building. Rich in history and newly refurbished, this is the ideal place to hold all sorts of events such as:
birthday parties, weddings, christenings, wakes, corporate events, training days, Christmas parties and much more. We offer tailor made packages to suit you. We have 2 spacious rooms for use upstairs with a beautiful balcony under the famous Kursaal dome and downstairs we also have a VIP private room available with bowling and a private bar.

Good place to kill an hour or two. Went in here one evening on a visit to Southend. 2 games of bowling for 2 adults was very cheap. There's arcade games just outside the main bowling area and there's a medium sized bar with TV screens which show the football. Even had a DJ in there later on in the evening. Overall a pleasant and non hassle experience.

The woman who served us didn't have good customer service at all and failed to tell us that for 50p we could have a third gsme.. bowling was fun but did not enjoy the atmosphere from the staff, as if they didn't want to be there at all

A great place to have fun at with family and friends. Good food, nice staff. All great except the pool tables are quite lop-sided, but if I'm honest it compliments the buildings style.

Terrible! Waited over an hour for food. Still after asking three members of staff, still unable to get food correct! Need more and trained staff! They all seem to be running around like headless chickens!

An ok place which feels dated and old fashion but if you are after a game or two of bowling or pool it's not too bad.
