Nice spacious hall for events and celebrations. Attended a family 50th wedding anniversary celebration and had a good time. Facilities are clean and well maintained with a good size car park.
If you are hiring this venue for a party, where music will be required I would highly recommend avoiding, unless you can get permission to override the sound limiter. It is incredibly sensitive. And can even be activated by guests singing. However, it is a very good hole if you require disabled access
Had our daughters 5th birthday party here, nice sized hall with enough room for a bouncy castle, entertainer and 40 very loud children. Prices to hire were very reasonable and we'd book again if we had to.
Nice venue but for a council run property we would expect to be told that 2 doors don't close properly and for them to be fixed promptly. According to another hirer these have been broken for some time. There should be a sign as is potentially hazardous.
Visited recently for the local Historic society evening talk on local branch rail lines. An informative and enjoying evening in the comfortable facilities which comprise CM.
