Went for a Mothers Day Dinner and was very disappointed. We would have chose to leave as soon as we were seated and told that there was items missing from the menu which my mum had planned to have for the last 2 weeks, however, didn’t think we would be able to get in anywhere else at that time of the evening.nThe food that we did have was just about warm enough as though it had just been sitting under a heat lamp for half an hour.nThe service time was awfully slow taking an hour for our mains to come out. However, when it did eventually arrive, it did taste nice.nI didn’t manage to get the lady’s name blonde hair and red top that was serving the bar area last night, but she was doing amazingly well as it looked as though she was on her own serving all the tables.
Went for a birthday lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great choice of food highly recommend the burger and our server Mel couldn't be more helpful. I even got a free bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Will definitely be returning soon.
Went to the Shaw Farm Inn for a family birthday, recently, and the staff really bent over backwards to accommodate us, as we were a big group 13 + dog. One of our party is Coeliac and the service was very attentive and informed, so that they were able to offer several options. With the dog, and the size of party, we were seated in the pub, rather than the restaurant - where orders are usually made at the bar, but the staff were happy to take our orders as one group. We did have to go hunting for cutlery, between courses, but that was a very minor point in what was otherwise a very enjoyable and tasty meal. The setting was very pretty and I’d happily return.
The food was very nice. Roast turkey dinner followed by a cheese board. Portions are quite small, and food was luke warm. Service was very slow. Restaurant not very busy and plenty of staff but we waited 50 minutes for our dinner, staff got our drinks order wrong and were extremely slow with delivery of food and drinks to the table. I think they need a bit of training because they had plenty of time to chat and polish cutlery while numerous tables were waiting for service. Disabled parking and access available.
We had a wonderful evening at Shaw Farm. We were a party of 10 people and despite being such a large number, the food & service was incredible. Abigail and all staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning and will recommend Shaw Farm to our family and friends. Many thanks for a lovely evening.
