Great Family fun place to visit Lots of games to play too. Just change your money to 1£ pound coin, insert in the machine and you are good to go. However, sometimes some of the games do not work even after inserting your 1£ coin. It must be 1£ pound coin or else .... The Bowling alley was great fun as well Highly recommended Shall certainly visit again!!!
Massive game and fun center... they have a lot of games for both adults and kids, could get a chance for bowling because of the waiting time... got there at 5pm and was ask to wait till 9pm to get a chance at bowling...
Def recommend them for a kids party! We booked the VIP package and can honestly say that it was worth it. : We had to post pone our original booking at quite short notice, due to one of the birthday kids twins coming down with chicken pox, but it was all no problem! Our booking was safe, no deposit gone or anything, just rebook within 12 months and you're good to go. : Great customer service! The party was great, fun had by all! Party host was really helpful! And all kids went home with a big smile on their faces. : I'm sure you will see us again. :
Took the grandchildren there. Had Eat, Drink and Bowl for a family ticket. Worth the money as the food was really good. Then onto the machines. Great afternoon out.
Huge bowling alley with arcade. Got to our lane and there were only 3 pins. Took 20 minutes to get them reset after waiting for 1 person at reception to book and pay as the call button on the lane screen clearly didn't work. Had a QR code to order food and drinks online but stated a 45 minute wait due to it being too busy. I think there were about 5 lanes being used and the barman was standing around with no customers when I walked over to say that is what it stated he was surprised. So I used the old fashioned route and ordered at the bar and carried it all on a tray.
Really good, lively place, but the lanes are too close together. I spent most of my game trying to avoid accidentally hitting the wandering toddler in the next lane with the bowling ball. The parents were too interested in their pints to care. This is basildon though, so no surprise
If there was an option for zero stars I would have selected that! Ordered drinks via the QR code, challenged staff after the drinks had not been delivered to lane. The attitude received was absolutely disgusting. Asked for a refund and had the money thrown at us! The manager didn’t even come to speak to us after we had requested to see her. Terrible customer service. Seriously I can’t believe the mouth on the staff and they still have their jobs. If you don’t like your job go find something else instead of ruining other people’s experiences. Only plus is Security were friendly. Avoid for family days out !!
My son was so entranced by the games in the foyer he lost almost all interest in the actual bowling that he'd been on about since our holiday started
All young kids working there who are never happier than when chatting even if your lane light indicating there is a problem or you would like to order food or drinks is on. There's generally only one service person sorting out the games if they fail or the tickets run out. Regularly the ticket counter is full. Why don't they go round checking them every half hour? Because they're too busy chatting or there's not enough working! My son is autistic and suffers with ADHD too, so waiting 20 minutes for a game to be sorted out, which we frequently do, is like him having his finger nails ripped out. It could be lots better! Also, the disabled and carers discount is only available during the week not at weekends!! What gives there - don't disabled people want to have fun and go bowling at the weekend, Hollywood Bowl Basildon?
Don't phone their 0844 number they kept me on while booking a birthday treat for 16 minutes and that cost me nearly £12 phone charges why not a 01268 number daylight robbery. They did contact me about this but did nothing said they charge 7p a minute the rest is my provider they totally missed my point why 0844 number when 01268 would cost zero and also is my area code.
