Story

The Metro Garden Restaurant & Bar is one of Clapham’s best kept secrets. Quintessential al fresco dining can be experienced in the intimate fairly light-adorned Metro hidden garden, perfect for balmy summer nights.

Rocking a shabby chic interior, Metro Garden Restaurant London features flickering candlelight, oversized comfy sofas and a buzzing, vibrant bar. An ethereal feel is created against the bordering stained glass window backdrop of the idyllic St Mary’s Church and monastery.

Eclectic dishes on the Metro Garden menu include pecan and cashew crusted duck breast on creamed mash with kumquat jus or parmesan gnocchi with walnut pesto and fresh rocket. Homemade desserts include banoffee pie, white chocolate baked cheesecake and cinnamon pear and stem ginger pudding.

My first time at Metro Garden and I was so incredibly pleased. The food was impeccable and the service I received, compared like no other. Paul was absolutely phenomenal and gave us the best service I had received in a very long time. Would highly recommend and will definitely be revisiting.

Once again Fran and her team gave us an excellent experience. The service was immaculate and the food stunning. The chorizo scotch eggs and the manchego and Serrano ham croquettes were particularly special. Looking forward to going back soon for the legendary Sunday roasts.
Staff is very nice and friendly. The athomsphere and people around was great. I loved the food and the live music on a Saturday latr brunch. I would certainly go again
It's as nice as you think it's going to be. Peaceful, like a hidden garden, tasty food and the staff were all warm and welcoming. I normally waffle my food down and forget to enjoy it, but we ended up eating slowly and enjoying the evening - we stayed for 3 hours !! and didn't feel rushed. Well done to everyone involved.
Charming little place. quite small but not too cramped. Wasn't the cleanest place but the food and service were delightful
Roast was average, veg was best part, nice layout inside though
