Tart

About

Not your average tart! Coffee shop & bakery specialising in terribly tasty tarts, salads and sweet goods. Great coffee from Volcano in Dulwich.

Story

Elevating the humble quiche to become a much more exciting and, above all, tasty pastry-case-of-goodness is why we founded Tart. Probably London's only tart-based bakery and coffee shop, we dish up a frequently-changing menu of tarts with fresh salads, alongside tart-themed brunches and sweet goodies galore. Amazing coffee, tea and juices, obviously.

Run by partners Jason and Adam, the first shop opened up overlooking Clapham Common in 2015 and the second tart palace is to be found on Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. More branches will hopefully follow.

I’ve been wanting to visit Wild by Tart for a while, and the atmosphere certainly lived up to expectations. The setting was lovely, and the waitress who served us was very kind and friendly, which made the experience pleasant. However, we went specifically for the desserts and left disappointed. We ordered the sundae and tiramisu. The tiramisu tasted dry, as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a while, and even had that distinct "fridge" smell, if that makes sense. The sundae, on the other hand, was just average—nothing special. Given how much I had been looking forward to trying this place, the dessert experience was a letdown. I don’t think I’ll be returning for desserts, though I might consider coming back to try their lunch menu. That said, the lovely atmosphere and friendly service do give it some redeeming points.
Amazing atmosphere and incredible venue but very overpriced, £28 for an average cheese and charcuterie board. We also asked for the gluten free option and we were charged extra for 2 tiny pieces of bread, but we appreciated the option. Wine is also extremely overpriced compared to other places in the same area.Food: 2/5
We ordered the cauliflower arancini for £7.5, but when we checked our bill after leaving, we saw that we were charged £10. The portions of food were small and seemed to be priced too high. Only few dishes with “meat”Food: 3/5
Really lovely restaurant with some of the best seasonal food I’ve had in a while. Each dish was packed with flavour and clearly made with care. I highly recommend the whipped feta and focaccia!! Also the main’s portions are massive! Dog friendly too which is nice.
Great food, cool atmosphere. Highly recommend! …also good location in Eccleston Yards, which has other shops, gyms & spots to check out.Food: 5/5
Delicious food! The whipped feta and arancinis were my favourite along with the herb oil focaccia. Great flavours, can’t go wrong here. Lovely ambience in the restaurant. Desserts are a must!Food: 5/5
Delicious, well thought out menus. Magic is brought to your table at Wild by Tart. Most importantly, the restaurant makes your gut health top priority, the plates are packed full of diverse ingredients. You will eat the rainbow and it will not disappoint. Elegant, chic, cool and frankly just yum.Food: 5/5

Dining at Wild by Tart is a real treat of an experience. Fun and stylish decor; superb food and a wide selection of wines to do justice to the food. The serving is attentive and efficient. The place is popular : and these are some of the many reasons. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
A fantastic evening! Seasonal food from Northumberland and Somerset and a most delicious wine list. The amazing staff could not have been more attentive, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The perfect restaurant which continues to deliver on every visit!Food: 5/5
