Do not use this company, they are unreliable. Booked a taxi 2hrs before needing it, the call handler had no idea if they had availability when asked. I got assurances from a manager that they did, surprise surprise no one turned up. When I rang they said they only had one driver and it was manic. Absolute lies! Get an uber instead.
Pre-booked a taxi for 2:30 And all agreed. At 2:45, we rang them checking where the taxi was. The response was "we have no taxis in your area, so it will be 10 mins". Immediately after they rang saying "sorry it will be 20 mins". We agree to this, as they assured us that it will be a maximum of 20 mins. After those 20 mins, we receive a call "the one car near you we had is now overheating. The next taxi will be in one and a half hour's time. Would you like this?". We had to go elsewhere to get any reliable travel to a destination. We were late due to Metro messing us around.

They are welf employed drivers they don't guarantee collection at your booked time, or at all. Missed a friend wedding due to this taxi company.
They’re rude, they hung up as we tried to complain, we ordered at cab at for 11:30pm and at 11:40 we rang to see where it was and it said 15 minutes, at 12:30 it still wasn’t here, we rang to complain as we needed to get home and they were really rude and said it wasn’t there fault even though they gave us false hope that it would be here soon and we nearly had no place to go until our friend said we could wait they’re for a while, but we couldn’t stay all night and then they said we might not be able to get a taxi at all. Over all the service was unreliable and rude.
Booked to go to work at 10.30pm via the app, only for them to cancel 20 minutes before booking. Why couldn't they cancel earlier.
The worst taxi journey I have ever and likely will ever experience in my life! We booked our return journey from the airport in advance and it was agreed we would pay a set fee of £80 from London Heathrow to Sawbridgeworth and parking was included which is why we went with Metro Cars. As requested we gave them flight details so they could track our flight too. When we landed we found our driver and he asked that we pay for the parking and we explained that it was included in our price. Edwin our driver would not have any of it and we explained again and again that this was what was agreed. I then had to ring the head office and they had to explain to him that the parking was included. At this point Edwin was like a child throwing a tantrum and he was threatening to unload all our cases and for us to get another taxi all because we wanted to pay the agreed price. He was shouting and at this point the manager on the phone was literally pleading with him to take us home saying they would sort out the parking ticket at the office. We’d had a 14 hour flight and were jet lagged and this was the last thing we needed when we landed. It looked as though there must have some miscommunication between the office and driver but for our driver to behave in that way was absolutely disgusting. It may be that they have other drivers who are more professional so all I can say is if you do decide to book a taxi with Metro Cars then ask that you don’t get Edwin because I would not wish that journey from hell on anyone.
I can't give a bad enough review. We were quoted a price for a drop off and pick up to a wedding. After being 20 minutes late to pick us up, we were running late for the wedding, to then be told when we arrived that the office made a mistake and the fare was £14 more there and £30 more for the way home. After refusing to pay more than we were quoted and handing the driver the agreed quoted fare, he then called the police to claim we hadn't paid. I was then forced in to paying him the extra £14 in order to stop the possibility of a police car turning up to my cousins wedding. Perhaps they wouldn't have come anyway, but we felt we couldn't risk it. I phoned to complain, and was told "I don't know what to say" by the office. They said the driver didn't work for them not sure how that works but they would collect us, with a different driver for the earlier quoted return price home, which I agreed. Our return taxi was then 40 minutes late collecting us. It was shocking and a beyond appalling service.
