We landed at half past midnight and the airport service said it would be an hour wait so recommended Metro. They said they'd be 20 minutes and to wait outside. After an hour and 3 more phone calls the cab finally turned up. We may as well have waited in the terminal for an hour and had a coffee rather than in the cold until 2am with 2 young kids. Also, the driver said he'd only been given the job 10 minutes before arriving 30 minutes after we were told a 20 minute wait. As all other reviews have said....liars. Avoid at all costs.
Never known service like it. I was in shock. Booked a return. Turned up 20mins late for pickup, then didn’t turn up for the booked return, leaving us stood in -2. When I called they refused to pick us up unless I paid more money over the phone. It was as if I was being held to ransom. I wouldn’t even book these people to take my rubbish to the tip.
Booked cab through the app at 10.30am and they cancelled the ride 5mins before pick up at the busiest time at 3.48pm! There’s a reason why this was booked early and it was to pick up a vulnerable person! You should organise your company better and honour rides booked in advance. Rubbish company will never use again!
Cab booked from Town to home. Straight after booking got a text to say booked and almost immediately after a text saying car has arrived. There was no car. It did arrive ten minutes or so later so no real problem but could've been if I was waiting outside alone late at night on assumption my car had arrived.
Could be so much better. Big company, lots of cars, but never on time. You would think if you pre-book it would ensure an on time collection but time and again I’m late for things through no fault of my own. Given my location I would use them often but they are a last resort as they are unreliable.
I must say it’s the worst ever in Harlow now. This is ridiculous, I’ve ordered a cab and I always ask how long before getting one allocated and I’m always told 5-10 mins and never on time. They were good and always on time but now they’ve gone down hill have preordered cabs and still been let down and been late for school drop off and work. 1 driver told me he had been in the area and didn’t get any jobs and I had been waiting over an hour for what’s supposed to be a 20 min wait.
Avoid this taxi firm at all costs. I would rate it as zero stars - worst taxi firm I have encountered. We prebooked taxis to and from a wedding. There were 5 of us but we were told they didn’t have any availability for 6 seater cars so we had to book 2 x 4 seater cars. The first car turned up 10 minutes late and was a 6 seater however refused to take us all as a 3 seater had been booked. The second car turned up 20 minutes late - the journey was horrendous, the driver was speeding for the entire journey and nearly drove head first into another car taking a blind bend too quickly. He also charged us for the journey halfway into the journey, operating the card machine and his phone whilst he was driving. The cost of the journey was also higher than confirmed when we prebooked the taxi but we didn’t want to argue it given how awful the journey was. On the way back, we waited 45 minutes for the taxis to turn up but they never came. We called the office multiple times but they weren’t any help. Clearly prebooking taxis only means you are added to the dispatch list at the time you are meant to be collected.
Called Metro last week and asked if they could send me a quick cab as I needed to get to hospital urgently. Man told me yes I can send immediately, 15 minutes later I called and ask where driver was and I was told eta 2 minutes, 9 mins later I called again and got told 2 minutes again, I said your colleague just told me that? He said do you want this cab or not? He put phone down and next thing I know I got a text to say my job had been cancelled. Sadly I didn’t get to the hospital in time and I’ll never forgive metro cars.
I have used metro taxi on a number of occasions. Once they were 45mins late and then was a no show and said they could not get driver. I am now sitting here waiting for a pre booked taxi at 1.30, 2pm and still not here. How is this business running. You call and they say it’s on its way. Bring on some more taxi companies opening in this area, they would make a bomb for good service. No other industry would treat costumers like this. They say in reviews that they have new booking system…..obviously doesn’t work!!!
I’ve used this company for a few years now , they are usually on time but sometimes run several minutes late. We had two cabs booked for 7.15 which I booked on Tuesday 29th November for Friday 9th last night after several phone calls to METRO the cabs finally arrived an HOUR LATE , we were told they had to prioritise bookings , bearing in mind I booked these cabs TEN days ago we obviously were not a priority!!!! I don’t think I will be using Metro again , they have definitely gone down hill and Do Not value long standing customers.
