We ate at the Hootenanny for lunch this month while on holiday from Canada. The name alone meant we had to go. We walked in right after they opened at noon and were taken care of despite that the door was open, they were still setting up. Such kind service. My husband and I both had the Hoots Burger and they were fantastic. My daughter's Cullen Skink was loved as well. Go and enjoy Highland hospitality. This Canadian gives 5 stars

Best venue for traditional music in town! The music and drinks are just as good elsewhere, but the staff and the food here are two steps above the competition. Come early if you want to grab a table. It fills up every night of the week

Great place with Scottish music and very good locally produced ales :) My favourite one was definitely red kite ale. Tried also their local beef burger – also very good. At least once a week they have also live music. No wonder the place is rather crowdy – it has really excitable atmosphere and good vibes :)

Quite a bug pub, a bit dark, great atmosphere, impressive beers & whisky collection at the bar - and the jewel in the crown is the live music nights. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

Great venue for live music, which is always varied. A fantastic selection of local ales, a traditional bar and cocktail bar means that there is something for everyone.
