Visited on a Wednesday night looking for something quick but tasty. The service was absolutely superb - the guys running this place and really friendly and really enthusiastic about what they do. Decor is trendy and bright. Menu focused on a few things, but there are also weekly special steaks and burgers. We both went for burgers - they were easily the best we've had in years, great flavoursome beef with well thought out toppings and sides. Dessert menu looked interesting, but we were both stuffed from the generous portions. Little pricier than similar places, but totally worth it for the extra quality and service. Recommend!
I had a chicken burger and a peanut butter shake, both of which I was really impressed with and would definitely recommend. The only thing I would change were the fries which had been prepared like sweet potato fries. I would have preferred either a chip or a thin crispy fry. Service was excellent with staff greeting us immediately on arrival despite being busy. Food came out very quickly oddly before our milkshakes... But that turned out to be a good thing as it saved on desert! Meal for two main course and shake cost £30.
Excellent burger and steak restaurant, and great value. Still relatively unknown, so it is quiet and has offers on during the week happy hour 2-4-1 cocktails, 2 burgers for £12 etc.. Really friendly staff. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the gourmet burger chains, but I would definitely recommend Meating over them. Conveniently located in the Arcadian so very near New Street Station, Bullring and Hurst St.
Generous portions, perhaps too generous! As the name suggests, very meat-based - BBQ and burger dishes were ok. Decor is a relic of Mono Bar, very black-and-whites and a bit dated. No hot drinks which is a bit of a disappointment if you like a coffee at the end of a meal!
Burgers are pricey but were made to perfection. Service was fast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will be going again. Only complaint is the burger buns need to be bigger to hold the fillings.
I was there with my colleagues for a Christmas night out. We booked a table for 7pm, we sat just before 8 pm and had to wait for starters another half an hour. Not mentioning that average wating time for drinks was over 15 minutes. And no, it was not busy. Main meals were served again after another 45 minutes and desserts when we already forgot about them. I ate my cake with a knife and my friend with two straws using them as chopsticks because they didn't bother to give spoons. They didn't replace cutlery after starters either. Food? Well, halloumi was over seasoned, too salty. Too much vinegar in the salad but the worst were toasts, meat and vegetables because they were all blackened. Not burrnt, just blackened with the stuff from the grill because it's not properly cleaned. It ruined the whole taste and I don't understand how can you serve a red pepper that is all black on the surface. In the end they obviously charged us for service even though we had to spend over 3 hours before we could finally go somewhere else... Overall experience - disaster.
A bit pricey for good food. However only tasted burger although the menu sounded amazing. Shame won't go back any time soon to try out the rest.
Great food and price. If you want a good steak and good value look no further in this area. Worth noting all food is half price on Mondays Aug 2016
Do not go !!!!!!! The meat smells off, the burgers are soggy, the squid taste like beef !!!!! It's horrible there it's too expensive for burgers and ribs!!!!!!! I warning everybody it's vile and will make you wanna throw up !!! I'm having flashbacks and now starting to feel queasy !!! I've warned you all !!!!!!! I gave this one star, the cocktails were nice !!
Just come here for a late lunch enjoyed it so much! food was perfect could not fault it, Big food portions and staff are super friendly defooo will be coming here again. Thanks for a grate experience
