I had the wonderful experience of meeting a lady called Dawn who works at the Meadowhall bus station in Sheffield. My bus was cancelled and I had to wait up to 52 minutes to know when my next bus will come. Dawn with a friendly smile and positive attitude kept me as well as other passengers content and calm during a difficult time where we were waiting for national express to come and pick us up to take us to London. Dawn took the time to speak to the bus drivers for me and reassure me that my bus would be on the way soon. I am currently sat on the bus now waiting to go back to London and I only have Dawn to thank for her wonderful smile and exceptional customer service. Dawn I want to thank you personally and its people like you that make this world a special place. You won’t be forgotten. Charles
Waited over an hour for mine and my friend's bus, to which it came and we asked if it went to Barnsley, the display screen above said barnsley on the A4 stop. The driver said, no, that's on stand C4. The display stand above said "Chesterfield" bus in 4 minutes. We waited 10 minutes and thought "screw this" and went to the train station. Despite being delayed by 10 minutes, the unreliable train service was FAR more reliable than standing around, confused by which bus goes where for over an hour.
Meadowhall interchange is a joke. I arrived at 2.10 for a bus scheduled to leave at 2.25. On the board it said 2.45 and so I assumed it was delayed. I went for a walk to kill some time, and arrived back at the interchange by 2.30 15 minutes before the bus said it would be arriving, as they reccommend to find out the bus had in fact left at 2.25. I had missed my bus because of their poor timetabling and the board being wrong. Am now having to pay for a later bus, which will not arrive in London until 9pm, and I will therefore miss my train as well. Very disappointed.
Just been put on the wrong train by the tanoy system that stated the next train to arrive was the 16:21 to Leeds we are now on the cleethorpes train having to get off at Doncaster to then go to south Elmsall and walk to Moorthorpe were my car is parked plus having to pay for the exchange tanoy mistake!!
Public toilet inside the waiting room at tram station is DISGUSTING the smell of men's pee all on the floor made me retch. Serious clean needed.
Pleasant interchange with trains, local busses, national express and megabus all available.
Great and easy way to get to Meadowhall if you can't drive there.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Making the start and finish of a journey a pleasure
