We always have a wonderful experience at McDonald's Surbiton, and a big reason for that is Phoebe. She is absolutely fantastic with children and always goes out of her way to make them feel special. My kids constantly ask to come back because of how kind and welcoming she is. Unlike many other restaurants, Phoebe takes the time to notice the children, greet them with a big smile, and often gives them a balloon or a small toy to brighten their day.nnIt's not really about the gifts, it's the genuine kindness, attention, and positive attitude she shows that make such a difference. She has a natural way with children that creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for families.nnI'd also like to thank Florisha, who is always so lovely and attentive. She notices the little things, like when a child needs ketchup, and happily helps out straight away. On one visit, she even reached into her apron to get some ketchup for my child without being asked twice. Those small acts of kindness really stand out.nnBoth Phoebe and Florisha are a credit to the McDonald's Surbiton team. Their excellent customer service keeps us coming back time and time again.
Very poor experience with this order. When it arrived, the packaging had clearly been ripped open, which is concerning. Some of the food portions were not properly filled, the chips were only about half full and looked like they had already been eaten from.nnOne of the drink bags had also ripped, and the entire order arrived cold after taking over an hour to be delivered. Overall the food quality and packaging were very disappointing.nnI have contacted support with photos because the condition the order arrived in was not acceptable. I hope this location improves its quality control and packaging before sending orders out.
First time here and was pleasantly surprised. First and foremost how helpful the staff were Sam and another young man were super helpful. My Grandaughter who is autistic struggles with managing drinks and managed to spill hers before she’d even drunk it. I offered to pay for a new one but Sam was so kind and replaced it with no judgement! Will definitely come again . Thank you Sam you’re a superstar!
So have ordered now quite a few times through the app. And I customise my burgers , extra pickle and sauce in my big Mac’s cheese burgers etc, and when they arrive they have the labels on the burgers saying extra pickles /sauce but you open them up they never have. This has happened 5-6 times in the few 4/5 months , they obviously can be arsed to print the fake label but not customise the burger you just end up wiv a standard one , now when it’s delivered by the Epsom branch it’s done every time so props to Epsom , Surbo you suck big time
AVOID AT NIGHT IF YOU VALUE SERVICE AND FOOD QUALITY nnI want to be fair and say that the Surbiton McDonald’s can actually be good during the mornings and afternoons. Service is usually quicker, food is fresh, and staff seem more attentive. Unfortunately, the complete opposite can be said about the evening, night, and early morning service…nnBased on multiple experiences, I would genuinely advise people to avoid this location during night hours. I have repeatedly had issues both ordering in person and through delivery. There is a clear lack of care during these times. Even when there are many staff members and very few customers, the service is consistently poor. Staff often stand around talking while orders are being prepared incorrectly, and missing items seems to be a regular occurrence rather than a rare mistake.nnWhat is particularly frustrating is the lack of apology or accountability when errors happen. It often feels like mistakes are treated as normal rather than something that should be corrected with urgency or professionalism.nnTODAY WAS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE. I ordered food for collection and arrived only a few minutes later, yet my food was already cold. When I checked my order, one of my Mayo Chickens was missing despite it not being busy at all. After asking for it, they gave it to me as it was just sitting there, but while I personally began repacking the bag on my way out of McDonald’s, I noticed my Chicken McNuggets were also missing. Therefore, having to return once again which they questioned me and leading me to point to the stuck on receipt that I have nuggets…ONCE AGAIN SITTING THERE COLD AND HAVING TO REPACK MY OWN ORDER AGAIN WITH 0 APOLOGY OR REMORSE. Having multiple items missing from a simple order when the restaurant was quiet just shows a serious lack of attention and frankly quite embarrassing.nnTo make matters worse, after eating the food I began experiencing stomach pains that have continued since. While I cannot medically confirm the cause, the timing is concerning enough to make me question the food quality and hygiene standards during these hours as I can 100% guarantee it was from the food I got from there as I was completely fine beforehand.nnBecause of the repeated mistakes, poor organisation, lack of care, and this most recent experience, I honestly cannot recommend this McDonald’s during the night. Management SERIOUSLY needs to address the quality of service during these hours because right now the difference between day and night service is UNACCEPTABLE!!nnIf you are considering going here, I would strongly suggest going during the day or choosing another location at night to avoid food poisoning and disappointments.
