Great value for money.. Food is great. You pay half price if your paying with cash. Managers are friendly. Only downside here is the waitresses.. they are extremely slow, even when the restaurant is quiet. Plates left on the tables even when your next course arrives. If the manager took on more efficient Staff, this place could do really well. I recommend here.

Not the best I have had but acceptable. Staff (two waiters) were polite and friendly but needed more to offer a faster more effective service. Food was nice, portions small but adequate. Very cold in winter but would go back again in summer.

I pop in to the East India once or twice a year with my Tolworth uni friend to talk about the good old days when we were young free and single. We are never disappointed with the exceptional fresh tasty food and the polite friendly service (Cobra and Kingfisher beer are fine choices off the drinks menu!). Sure.... there are other curry houses in Surbiton which we have tested out over the past two decades, but ultimately The East India will always be our number one choice !

Really like it here. The food is good, prices are really reasonable (half price if you order a drink from them). The staff are friendly, especially the owner (?), who is very polite and attentive. Always our first choice for curry in Surbiton.

A nice cheep place to go, with good quality food and they do half price on food if you pay in cash. Service was quick and helpful. Would have been five stars but they don't have chicken chat puri on the menu.
