Thought I knew where the best Chinese was in Thanet, then I tried May King. Was blown away by Thier consistency and tasty food. Chicken was tender food was hot and served up in a timely manner. And all available around that corner from Broadstairs in st peters. Don't live that far so I have not tried the delivery but collected every time. Give them an extra 5 minutes and it's always a little late but it's well worth the wait. Gets super busy Friday and Saturday nights so get in early and you won't be disappointed. 5 stars and well worth it, not that it was too expensive but well done may king.
The food was delicious & service was brilliant. We ordered online for collection, it was ready exactly when they said it would be with the modifications we had asked for no mushrooms in curry. When we got it home all the food was piping hot. Nothing was greasy & the flavours were lovely. This will be our go to Chinese take out from now on!
Food was hot when delivered, but the portion sizes were very small for the price comparison to other Chinese. Egg fried rice was a little burnt, chicken balls was hard stringy chicken and very oily.Food: 3/5
Updating my review to say that I am still enjoying truly delicious, freshly cooked Chinese food, quickly delivered to my door. 27/01/24 Tried this takeaway for the first time a couple of weeks ago, following mail out of their menu through the door. What a great discovery they are! Superb food, delivered promptly and piping hot! Can’t recommend them highly enough. Will definitely be using them from now on.
I ordered 10mins before closing I had an issue on way to collect and was late by about 20-30 mins but the staff waited for me to arrive, food was still piping hot and tasted great May king has always been one my favourite Chineses never had a bad mealFood: 5/5
I'd recommend the special fried rice, mixed starters and chicken curry. All very nice and good portions. We got some free prawn crackers too. I can't really fault it. Delivery time was fast too. Vegetarian options: Some noodle and starter veggie options available
Really pleased i tried out this takeaway whilst having a weekend away from London with my partner. The food was of an excellent standard. The service was quick after ordering.Food: 5/5
At least once a week since moving to broadstairs 6 months ago we have used may king. We love it. The food is always 10/10 and the team are so friendly. We have recommended to friends and family who also have loved the food.
We have used May King a couple of times in the past and they were good. We tried it for the first time since it has changed hands and they have raised the quality to another level. The gentleman that served us was very polite, helpful and made some good recommendations King prawn, spring onion and ginger as well as duck and mushrooms and the two recommendations were spot on and delicious. Highly recommended and we will definitely be using May King again soon.
Very tasty , freshly cooked Chinese meal. Quickly delivered. Would recommend this Chinese takeaway. We have had a few meals from May King now, and it's always good.Food: 5/5
