Lovely food. Massive burger even by my standards! Ordered the Bill Haley burger. Staff are great. I wouldn't come on a Sunday afternoon if you don't want to listen to squawking kids! Shame the toilets were a mess & the taps didn't work properly. Worth a visit though.
Large portions but quite pricey. I ordered 12oz Elvis burger. I could not fit this in my stomach nice staff and quiet during the weekdays. I would make some 50s discos to fit the atmosphere
We called in here after having been stuck on the M62 for almost three hours today. The toilets were ok but not the best for cleanliness with one flusher not working in the ladies and the wash basins were old and not very good either. The diner itself was ok but not all that clean and the staff were very fast to seat us and serve us but not fast at all to remove finished food or bring the kids their free ice creams. Overall, this place is quick to deliver but is lacking in detail. It's a shame really as this could be a little goldmine.
Excellent customer service. Love the food. We had a BLT and pancakes with nutella and banana, all delicious. The ice cream soda was nostalgic!!
The food is good. A touch on the expensive side but made to look special so I guess that's the reason. Anyway no problems with the service. Very polite staff. The theme of the diner makes the visit worthwhile.
Been here twice now with my partner. Cute 50s style not been very busy when we went. Could use a bit if life and a bit more attentive waiting staff but great value for money and yummy food.
Worst place I've ever eaten and eaten at a few!, Emphasis on "the look" and they get that right, and the two waitresses were brilliant and tried hard, however the food was absolutely appalling. Fish that was not defrosted and / or cooked properly, couldn't even cut it, meatballs that was so dry I think they were trying to theme them with the Arizona desert. We mentioned this and the waitresses were extremely apologetic and clearly embarrassed that the so-called management were not really interested in taking off the bill! Would not go back even on a free menu - all the frills supported with absolutely appalling food, at a place that clearly does not care if they are getting it right, as shown by the large number of bad reviews AVOID - McDonald's is better and a 1/3 of the price!
I don’t really get bad comments . Yes , it’s not fine dinning place , food is not made from scratch. But it’s lovely place with amazing atmosphere, that’s all you need after shopping!!!
Food service was quick, but the food was nothing to write home about. I would however recommend the milkshakes, they're delicious! The diner itself is a little run down and the layout isn't great, we tried to walk in one door which wouldn't fully open as there was a booth in the way which is pretty poor.
Good service. Nipped in after crazy golf for a milkshake. Staff are professional and greet you as you go in. Had an oreo milkshake. You get loads as well. Well worth a look if your are in the Xcape area, Castleford.
