A great pub. Being going there occasionally for years. Changed ownership about 2 years ago. Still loved the place. Been there twice in last couple months. Barman same in both occasions. His helper different on both occasions. Barman slovenly and rude to the point of being ignorant. His helping staff are untrained and following the example of their leader. What a pity. Will probably go back again occasionally but hope I don’t encounter same barman. Maybe I was unlucky
Stopped in for a couple of pints. Bar man extremely rude. I simply asked him how much longer it would take to complete the order for a pint of lager. They were replacing the cask and he never told me. So 20 minutes later I got the pint and a load of cheek from the barman. Will not be going back.Service: 1/5
One of the best Guinness in Dublin, old fashioned pub, great atmosphere during weekends and you can watch matches as well as tasting a good Guinness. Good selection of other beers, sprits and wine as well.
Hadn't been here for years. Nothing had changed. Still got the great atmosphere of a country pub transplanted to the city. Glad the sloping floors had not been fixed as it adds to the quirkiness of the place. Ah the memories!Service: 5/5

Great Pub, like a time warp, as all old pubs of Dublin should be. Drank in there for italia 90, went in there last night and it still looks the same. One of the best pubs around
Attended Slatterys the weekend for my friends 30th, a lovely old charming victorian pub which would remind you of Dublin in the rare auld times as one might say. Heading in for the Irish football teams game against Scotland, staff refused to turn on the commentary for the game which if it consisted off an egg shaped ball and Johnny Sexton, I have no doubt it would have been blaring 'Irelands call' not to worry not listening to Darragh Malone is not the end of the world and maybe they were doing us a favour. The bar staff have mixed reviews Old bald man - very unwelcoming looked like he would rather the pub was empty the thought of custom haunted him Ear ring bar man - was fine Aul one - scouling miserabley at people giving dagger looks to custom Young lad giving a dig out with the tash - cheeky to say the least, passing comments about a sinn fein flag in the pub and lippy with some custom who asked got commentary The two young barmaids collecting glasses etc the only ones with a smile on their face, I would recommend the other staff take recreational drugs to cheer themselves up, working around the corner from here was my first and last outing in this beautiful establishment Guinness like milk also hence the 2nd star. Cheer up we'll all be dead soon so enjoy life while you can
Absolute belter of a bar. One of Dublin's finest. Changed ownership recently I believe but hasn't lost its charm. It even takes card these days which may be seen as a positive or a negative as they had previously been determined to leave technology at the door.
