Story

Our chefs, make homemade pasta every day, or choose from our beautiful fresh fish and shellfish or our rustic pizza's. Choose from our fantastic collection of wines as well as award winning handmade ice cream. So come and see us, we're open all day, however we do get very busy so a reservation would be beneficial (You'll understand when you arrive). We look forward to seeing you very soon.

Their pistachio ice cream is seriously out of this world. Smooth, rich, and creamy, but most of all, SO full of flavour. Normally, pistachio anything barely tastes like anything other than sugar, including every other pistachio ice cream I've tried. But Marrocco's is unlike any I've had before.nnTheir biscoff flavour was also excellent!nnWas lucky enough not to have any queue at all on a cold and windy Saturday, but I would happily wait in line on a hot summer day for the pistachio ice cream - absolutely worth it!!
Fabulous authentic/friendly family run Italian restaurant. Have returned many times since my childhood days in the 60s. Wasn’t disappointed again. Fabulous squid pasta followed by some divine gelato. The flavours of which are outstanding, and outside of Italy not sure you could find better. the new apricot cheesecake flavour especially outstanding. My friend had an old fashioned coke float- very hard to find in 2025….. but a real childhood memory delight! For me- best restaurant in Hove.
The place was packed while we arrived around 7pm and surprisingly, there was only one waiter handling the entire floor. Despite the rush, service was still friendly.nnThe food was impressive. The pizza is freshly made to order, the clam pasta was delicious, Lobster linguine£32 was average and given the cost, I’d say the value for money isn’t the best….nnBefore you leave, don’t miss out on the Italian gelato.
I can’t decide what to focus this review on as Marrocco is an expert in both ice cream and its seafood dishes! Definitely the best in Hove. It’s very family friendly we lunch here at least every month and I always opt for the crab pasta and finish off with my favourite double pistachio ice cream. Portions are massive so we always end up sharing with each other, which is a massive win in my books. I just wouldn’t go anywhere else in Hove for seafood honestly.
The young server was polite and friendly.nnGood ice cream.nnMilkshake is nice, but personally I refer thicker shake, may be make it a 4 scoops or use a smaller cup size. Just personal preference.
