Such friendly, warm service! I love the coffee and pastries here and they always have a treat and sweet welcome for my pup. Perfect place to pick up dinner supplies and their natural wine selection is outstanding. A local treasure!
Good coffee and an interesting array of products, but the experience was ruined by the service. The older female staff member serving us was incredibly short and almost snapping at us even though we remained polite and friendly, and I would echo other reviewers sentiments that it seemed to be particularly bad with us brown people as opposed to with other, white customers. If you live and work in London, you really should get a grip and at least pretend not to be racist if that is what it was, jeez. Won’t be going back.
Great unpretentious restaurant with a thoughtful menu for everyone. It’s clear the menu here is very inclusive and there’s something for the local crowd, however I found my jalapeño and cornbread waffle very plain alongside the beans being lacking in seasoning. Glad I ordered bacon on top as it gave the meal a needed addition. Fits in well with the area and the staff were super friendly, eager to try again. The crowd I were with were disappointed in their portion size so if you go make sure you get extras.
I was recommended this shop, so travelled quite far to come to get some wine, I checked the opening hours which said they are open but when I get to the shop and came inside I was asked to leave as they are closed. I said oh I’m sorry it says online you’re open and the lady told me ‘but we are closed’. Bit of a shame.
Beautiful space selling quality store cupboard, grocery and baked goods, natural wines and barista made coffee. Particular emphasis on italian store cupboard and Pantry essentials with fresh baked breads/ sourdough and organic wines, beers and spirits. Oh, and both St. John's and Borough 22 doughnuts on the weekend, great washed down with barista made coffee or fresh baked viennoiserie and cakes.
So happy to have found this place. The food was outstanding, so much flavour. The atmosphere was homey and staff were approachable and efficient. Will absolutely be coming again.
Found the mature woman had an Anti-Black attitude. First ignoring me having a nice conversation with a fellow work colleague. When a different colleague appeared she the stopped talking turned to me and ask me what I wanted. I asked the price of a loaf of bread to which she retorted. "It's labelled on the Bread " obviously had it of been adequately labelled I would not if asked the question. When asked if it could be sliced: She firmly said "No. Then carried on with her conversation with her colleague, turning her back to me. When I walked out they were actually laughing between them. Disgusted I went across the road to a rival shop was greeted like an equal when I asked them if it could be sliced? The bloke said "Yes" then proceeded to get a Sharp knife and sliced the bread by hand. As a Black Man born and bred in the area, with white people you can tell the difference between bad manners and bad manners with a hint of racial chauvinism behind it. Very much, "we are Hipsters in a ghetto neighborhood. ". Unless you subscribe to this attitude best go across the road and be treated as an equal and receive better service.
One of the Best Eggs Royal I had for long time! Love the interior and great service!

Great tapas style dinner menu, nice food, good value, friendly staff, small place so worth calling ahead.
