Nice and modern branch of M&S near the centre of Workington. Clothing, food, drink, beauty and a few other bits you would expect to see in an M&S store. Honestly, the clothing ranges seem to be aimed at those 50+, not for younger people and the clothes are expensive. £30-40 does seem a lot for a t-shirt. I'm not sure many people would spend that on one. Still, a nice store but in a cost of living crisis the prices for the clothes will only appeal to very few people. The food hall did seem to be the main attraction for customers in the store.
It's OK as M n S goes. Can be a bit hit n miss. Some days we'll stocked some days shortages. Most of staff pleasant, some need retrained in customer service. Worst part is the restocking, huge trolleys in the aisles.
I got a meal for 1 the vegtable casserole and I was dissappointed as it contained mostly potatoes a little carrot peaces one peace of onion a bit of obergeion and very small garden peas si I won't be buying this again
I like shopping in Mark's & Spencer.nUnfortunately this store is located in the wrong part of town where you have to pay for parking to shop there.nnCar parking spaces is very few and expect a queue for parking there.nn£1.70 for an hour's parking.
Love this Marks and Sparks ! The staff are so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Sue lovely manager who has ordered some organic ham and stuffed vine leaves for me that head office stopped sending to the store especially for me. So kind I really appreciate it. Also thanks to all the staff as you always make time to have a nice chat. Really cheers you up to find wonderful warm genuine happy people making you smile with all the horrible news at the moment. Thanks M&S Workington your the best !
