What a farce!! I appreciate that trains get delayed but when station staff tell three disabled passengers to change platforms up and down two flights of stairs and the train leaves from a different platform, not just once but three times, you can understand why we chose not to believe them again!! What about the Disability Rights Act!! We finally got onto a train 3 hours later!!! I would have scored this no stars but wouldn’t have been able to enter a review!
I was waiting for a train to Chester on platform 4 when a massive gush of wind blew one of my bags onto the middle of the track, I panicked since a few items worth a lot of money were in there and i went straight to a member of staff about my bags, and they tried to get it with a litter grabber, which unfortunately wasn't long enough to grab my bag in the middle of the track. despite not being able to get it, the staff were all super helpful and nice to me, despite it being my own fault for not keeping a hold of my bag. But when i was writing down my details for getting my bag back when an engineer was on shift to retrieve it, an engineer came around the corner, and was asked to get my bag for me, which he did! I would like to thank the staff again at Manchester Oxford Road Station, for being extremely helpful and kind! It really made my day and I appreciate all you guys do!
Don't believe the staff!!!!!! They spread lies so that you miss your train!!!!! Just wanted to let you all know that Marc Northern staff at Manchester Oxford Road was shouting on platform 1 for people to use platform 2 to go to Bolton causing me to miss the 4:59pm train. I went to platform 2 with many other Boltonians and then the train to Bolton on platform 1. The train to Bolton left from platform 2 20 minutes later at 5:20pm. It was dark, cold and rainy. And Marc from Manchester Oxford Road played a good old prank on us. My question is if Marc's intention was malicious..
Liverpool to Manchester Piccadilly yesterday stopped at Oxford Rd. Was just told to get off the train and get on another to Piccadilly. No information of where or when - nothing. I am a disabled traveller and getting from one platform to another involved climbing the stairs. There was no lift to assist. It was horrendous. It took me such a long time to get up the stairs with the assistance of my daughter and others. Sorry, not good enough!
This place is so dirty!! Shame I can’t upload photos. In the gents toilets there was a big dirty green spit and and an empty “cocaine” bag. It seemed like the gents hadn’t been cleaned in over a week at least. The station is dated and all seating is outside so whilst waiting nearly an hour to connect to my next train I was freezing. There is no 1st class lounge either so absolutely no point upgrading if this is one of your reasons. Into the station on the train there is a bottle knock so don’t be surprised if you’re late either whether in or out
This train station is not as good as its rival, Manchester Piccadilly train station. Though at least they don't charge you for going to the toilet. 30p to unleash the floodgates of hell and because I drink alot of coffee, I have had to pay that 30p many times.
If i could give zero stars i would. You cant exit or enter the station when busy due to the pathetic number of turnstiles. The ones you have are so slow!!!!! God help anyone on this station in an emergency as you have no chance of getting to safety!!! Sort it out
absolutely Shocking Performance i Travell frequently throughout all over The united kingdom, and manchester Oxford road is the one station i Dredd going To As an example Today, Today im Travelling to London so my route is to go manchester Oxford to picadilly. . picadilly to london. on the Moniter it says manchester Piccadilly Plat form 3 i waited on Platform 3 and a Train pulls up with it final destination Manchester Piccadilly, i get on the Train i waited over 10 minutes !! and just has the train departures it announced Newton Le Willows! witch is 12 Miles in the Wrong Direction, The lady Conducter told me the train changed over to another platform and No one informed me as a passenger so i had to Call for a Taxi ! to do what i payde nothern rail to do, manchester oxford can expect me billing them for the Taxi to correct there simple Fucj up
unhelpful disinterested staff really bad frequency of trains to Leeds some staff were not wearing face coverings
