Not at all wheelchair-accessible, but I've repeatedly marked that, so I'm more annoyed with Google Maps for trying to start my specified wheelchair-accessible journey there than I am with the actual station, in some ways! Anyway, I can't use Ashburys at all now that I use a wheelchair - it has over 100 stairs if you want to go to the far platform, and dozens for the Manchester-bound platform. I used to just about manage it when I had a cane, and enjoyed being able to get into the Peak District in half an hour. To be fair, Ardwick station, between Ashburys and Piccadilly, is much worse, and Gorton, nearby, is misleadingly useful, because it looks like it should be accessible, but isn't after 3pm, when staff go home. Wholly unstaffed, with no ticket machines, though the latter is not a major problem if you can access the stop, as Northern Rail generally allow you to buy a ticket on your phone, on board the train, or at the next stop, with no penalty if you board at a station they know is unstaffed with no alternative in place. No secure storage, either, and the only things it has resembling amenities are a leaky standing shelter for passengers and a handful of announcement boards at the bottom of the stairs up to the platforms, though these are at least maintained fairly regularly insofar as timetables and advance notice of diversions are concerned. Be cautious, however: sometimes new onboard staff will let disabled travellers disembark without realising it's impossible to go anywhere when you do!
This is a very small station with no ticket office or station staff working here.the station has two long set of step and no lift so it is not wheel chair or child buggy friendly.there are also only couple of destination you can get to without traveling into Manchester Piccadilly train station.
Big stairs benches peace and quiet no ticket booth
Very basic station, not very accesible either.
Nice station but need cctv and more staff around!
OK station but no disabled access points.
A basic railway station on the Hope Valley Line. Steam trains pass through occasionally.
No ticket machine. . !
No acces for disabled people
Depressing station
