Very easy to travel to, Victoria Station is almost next door and there are lots of carparks within easy walking distance.nnI sat in Block 103 low down, the steps are quite steep and have no hand rails so its a little daunting walking down to be honest. The view though was worth it, it felt close enough for a good view but far enough away to enjoy the visuals on the back screen.nnThe facilities were OK, the toilets were very clean and the queues not to big gents tend to be like that. The merch tables were conveniently spread about so the queues here were quick.nnDefinitely will be looking to go back
Ok venue. I enjoyed the show. The seats are a bit cramped and the stairs are quite steep. I didn't like the toilet attendant barking like a fish wife, I understand the need to keep people moving but we're paying guests and I would have preferred a bit more dignity. Usual over priced bar and snacks but I guess that's normal these days, though the advertisement for two bottles of wine at £60 was a bit steep. I would probably only book again if other venues were unavailable.
A massive venue, hard to find your way around but that's more because of the sheer number of people in there. I had a standing ticket and managed to get pretty close. It got scary a few times with the mosh pits, because they materialised out of nowhere next to me and I got swept off to the side and nearly fell over and got trampled, so if you are going to a heavy metal concert, just be aware that you want to stay AWAY from the middle sections. I also got covered in beer on 3 occasions from cups getting thrown. Had an awesome time, Motionless In White are worth the struggle. If you are small like me and can't see over people's heads very well, don't bother getting a standing ticket, get a seat on the front row instead. AO arena had helpful staff and the general upkeep of the arena was good. Everyone was ignoring the no smoking rule though, I could smell cigs and weed and everyone was visibly vaping, so if you are asthmatic, don't get a standing ticket or you will just get smoked out.
Brilliant time seeing Mika at AO arena. We were in the hospitality box seats and had a fantastic evening with our own server, bar and toilet. It was lovely, clean and an amazing experience.
Much improved experience from a few years ago. They have raised their game with COOP live opening last year. Arena was clean, concessions plenty and reasonably priced. Entry and exit was smooth with no queuing with the new high tech scanners. Well done arena team for the improvements.nEasier to get home too, compared with the long waits at Coop Live.
