Nostalgic return to Belle Vue to watch the stock cars with my grandson . Exciting afternoon's entertainment. Good viewing options both inside and trackside although inside lacked some atmosphere. Plenty of snack outlets and drinks options available but offering limited choice. Car parking available on site but not sufficient for the crowd resulting in on street parking. Good afternoon out.

Q. What facilities do you have for customers in wheelchairs? Throughout the stadium we have lifts and ramps. We also have disabled parking. If you have any special requirements, please let our reservations team know at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request... Well firstly let me tell you all that's a lie! I have been to this venue on numerous occasions and always had a fantastic night but I was very disappointed by the service we received this weekend. My friend had a stroke nearly 2 years ago, she is able to walk but her mobility is limited so uses a wheelchair when she goes anywhere. On entering the venue (we had booked as a party of 16) we were informed my friend could not use the lift up to the grand stand "in case there was a fire and she couldn't get back down". This left us with the option of standing track side all night in the cold, wet rain or to sit in the bar where there was no seating available and the screens on which to watch the races where blurry to say the least. We decided to go trackside for a while, surprisingly there was no objection from the staff when she requested to use the lift to go down so apparently they were no concerns about having a fire in the lower levels leaving her trapped?! We're not an uneducated lot, we checked the website before booking to make sure they had disabled access throughout the facility which they claim to. We also struggled to believe that in this day and age a venue of this size open to the public would not have fire doors as part of it's fire safety regulations. The disabled toilets was also blocked and smelt rancid, needless to say we left early and were very disappointed .... there was also another couple who were refused access to lifts so left straight away. If you're not going to allow access to all areas you should maybe consider providing a substantial discount to the disabled and advertising it properly on your website. I have had to leave this review here as there isn't an option on their official site, my letter of complaint is in the post!

Good fun. Really big car park so easy to park on site. Quite expensive on the door but if you look at Groupon or their website their is usually a few deals on(I paid burger, drink and entrance for £10). Really needs a lick of paint and some new carpets, probably got done last in the 80's looking at the style of it.

Good night out Only problem is that you cannot sit and relax it's go queue for five minutes before every race to place your bet. If you don't mind that it's a great experience. The free pint and burger is a welcome bonus

Nice and friendly staff. Clean venue. Been horse racing many times, but never to the dogs, didn't know what to expect but we had a tremendous night
