Speaking as a musician that recently played there with my band, Le Pub is a fantastic venue with a great live sound. The guy behind the mixingdesk knows what he's doing. As a customer? Just as good. Great bar, friendly staff, nice surroundings and general vibe is good

Great Venue for live music, bar busy but a good selection of drinks, just a shame there's no separate bar in music section.
I finally visited this pub about a week &1/2 ago while I was traveling in Wales ! Y AY!! It was in my bucket list for 3 years !! Very friendly atmosphere/ services !! Very good foods !! I had a vegan burger & it was delicious !! The man lady like who helped me was very pretty & sweet ! And the lady worked there I asked where the toilet was to was very friendly, too !Only a couple of issues I experienced there were it seemed typical in Wales & England that they didn't wear gloves ,or use tongues always to prepare foods ! I am from L A.& originally from Tokyo ,so I was shocked !! Also , the bathroom toilet was super smelly of urine ,again it seemed typical as there were too many like this I used in London & Newport,Wales ! that made me wonder when was the last time they cleaned it ,or if ever cleaning the toilet ,or not !!? These are the reasons I can't give 5 stars ,but 4 !! Sadly ! As I was very looking forward to visit this famous all vegan pub I am a vegetarian & the burger was great And the person took / prepared my order was real nice & very friendly & charged me less as I didn't want chips !! I was surprised & thought that was a great gesture/ super cool treatment / service !!! I greatly appreciated it !! I recommend this pub to all vegans / vegetarians & music fans ,off course !! But,hoping they'll improve their hygiene practices on preparing foods & the toilets !!

Love the ambience, can't recommend garlic salted chips enough, hot off the shelves and never disappoint. Staff is extremely courteous and the stage is loud and fun!
A lovely pub, very kind and welcoming. The drink selection is good if not to my taste; there are no dark beers. I've given it 3 stars because I have worries about its accessibility. The disabled toilet is towards the back of the pub behind the pool table. This means it can be difficult for me as a crutch user to get around whilst also dodging pool sticks. I can't speak for wheelchair users but I don't know that they would easily be able to get around the tight corners. Otherwise a nice pub. I hope they can become more accessible! Edit following reply from owner: I'm honestly tempted to remove another star following this response from the owner but I won't because I know that the owner does not reflect the rest of the hard workers there. Claiming to be "more accessible" than other places in Newport doesn't thereby make you accessible. As a disabled individual, I do not find it easy to access the disabled toilet at Le Pub. I understand that you can't move the toilet but moving the pool table would make the area much more accessible I have seen similar comments from other disabled individuals in reviews elsewhere. Furthermore, Le Pub does not subscribe to the Radar key scheme which means that the toilet is inaccessible to anyone who is unable to ask for a key at the bar or for a disabled person who might need to use the toilet suddenly. Simply changing the lock would make a massive difference to your accessibility levels. If you truly care about your disabled patrons then please listen to us rather than silence us. At the moment your venue is not fully accessible but it could be.
Expensive, £2.40 for a half Guinness, it's another over priced music bar that will struggle unless the prices come down. Not my scene really, it's catering for a younger crowd who got money to burn.
I absolutely loved this place first time stayed in Newport and thus little gem was amazing. The staff were brilliant. The vegan food is gorgeous and the large selection of drinks on offer especially my favourite rum. Music was great and soo many friendly customers.
Newport has seen a tough few years for live music venues, even before C19 Le Pub is helping to keep the bar high, constantly serving high quality food drink and live music.
