What a fabulous restaurant in the heart of Torquay. Best seafood platter we have ever experienced. So fresh! Staff were very attentive and friendly and of course, great views over the harbour. Highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious! You must come here if you visit Torquay, best seafood I've ever tried and the mussels sauce is to die for. Service was brilliant, friendly staff and happy to put up with questions, and give recommendations. Creme brulee to finish was the cherry on a very yummy cake. Nice restaurant layout and scenic views Cannot wait to try again, thank you for a lovely evening.
The best meal i have ever eaten. We had the seafood platter for two. It was cooked to perfection. The hidden gem of a restaurant was beautifully decorated. Very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The lobster was lovely. As was the Dover sole. So too was the this curried prawns for starter. The bottle of sancerre to go with it was equally delightful. Just wished they had more than the one bottle as that went down too fast and we then had to have something else which wasn't as good
Nice restaurant and staff. We shared the seafood platter, which was good, but not sure all the elements worked together. Unfortunately, only 2 tables were occupied, so the atmosphere was not great.Food: 4/5
Had a great dining experience! Top quality food for a reasonable price and lovely views of the harbour. Main dishes are served with potato and vegetable side dishes - portions aren't compromised here :
We prebooked this restaurant for a Saturday night visit as recommend by Staff at the Beyond Escapes Barton Pines. Easy to reach as parking is just nearby, use Beacon Quay Car park. The entrance is the little alley between Cavern on the Quay and the Lighthouse, in the upstairs of the Cavern with lovely views of the harbour. When we called to book and mentioned that we bring our two children we were asked about their ages, our children were lucky old enough to make the cut 10yrs+. We started the menu with some Oysters followed by the Seafood platter. The Platter was enormous, so make sure you are hungry! Oddly, all food was served with salad covered in a creamy dressing maybe a signature thing?
The food was excellent, the service was five star and the atmosphere was calm and quiet almost like you were eating alone. Vegetarian options: None Parking: Parking is few or none existence Wheelchair accessibility: None
They have changed their name to Lobster house but don't know why it still says man's Friday on here, so just incase you get lost its lobster house now. Great customer service foods brilliant if you are into seafood and that, had our seafood platter bloody humongous make sure you order portion for one if you are going as a couple otherwise you won't be able to finish it and my other favourite starters were crab rissoto and Goan prawns
Just had an excellent meal, with pleasant atmosphere and perfect views over the bay. Proprietor very accommodating and friendly.
