The Splash is a well-known and popular leisure centre in the local Malvern area, attracting a wide range of visitors thanks to its family-friendly atmosphere and variety of facilities. It offers everything you’d typically expect from a modern leisure centre, including a large swimming pool, fitness amenities, and spaces for group exercise.nnOne of the standout features of the pool is how much fun it is for children. It includes the only water slide in Malvern, which is a big draw for families, along with a wave machine and plenty of play equipment to keep kids entertained. It’s a lively and engaging environment, especially on weekends or during school holidays.nnFor those who prefer lane swimming, the pool is functional but has a few drawbacks. The far lane includes some oddly placed stairs that protrude into the swimming space. These can be a real nuisance—I’ve accidentally hit my hand on them multiple times, resulting in bruises. It’s something you might get used to over time, but it feels like a design flaw that could be fixed relatively easily.nnUpstairs, the gym facilities are solid. There’s a dedicated spin studio, a large area for group classes, and a decent range of gym equipment for various workouts.
What a great way to spend 1hr 15 minutes. The changing village is great, there are stalls to change in and lockers to put your things, it cost £1 but you get that back after. It is clean and tidy, the pool is great for children and adults. There are plenty of lifeguards dotted around, and they put the wave machine on 4 times during our visit. The big side is great if your child is under 1 meter you can go down with them, over this and they can go on their own, it is totally safe with a lifeguard at the end at all times. They have a separate small section for smaller children. The main pool has lots of floats in for children to climb on or splash around on. £14.50 for 1 adult and 1 child, descent price. They also do family tickets too.nGive the kids a treat and take them here if you are in the area.
They've made the gym really good recently. It's a treat to have a sledge pull at a council funded leisure centre. The yoga classes are excellent too. Never used the pool, but it tends to be full of kids from what I can see. Recommended for a cheap and cheerful gym.
OMG, how busy!?!nnThough the pool has a band system, I don't think it's managed very well. When the wave machine came on, we lost our son - it was absolute chaos. 2 parents like meerkats and no reaction from the team. We found our son, but with floats and bodies all collected in one corner at the deep end of the pool, it's really difficult when you're getting rammed into by floats, with the wave machine onnnThough the pool was nice, I would hate to lifeguard that pool in that situation. We left after half an hour.nnNice facility, but it's scary to think what might happen
Three of wall play sections in teaching pool are broken off and there is sharp rusty metal especially dangerous for little fingers. How long has this been like this? Narrowly escaped my granddaughter cutting herself.
