The receptionist was fantastic, so helpful and welcoming, she even helped carry my luggage up. It was very helpful as I had a foot injury and there is no lift - although she offered without knowing this.nIt is a perfect location and offers free parking.nOur room was a bit run down and could do with a refresh, as could the bathroom. Beds were really comfy and lovely sheets.nDinner and breakfast were both ok, but I think we could have done better in Malvern as there are some lovely options there.
Pleasant enough hotel. Friendly reception staff and waiting staff at breakfast.nWe booked a deluxe double room. The deluxe double rooms are at the front of the hotel and due to its Grade 2 listing is, apparently, not allowed to fit double glazing. This was an issue for me as the traffic passing on the busy main road was very noticeable. I had requested a quiet room as I’m a light sleeper. The only alternative rooms were small and not to our liking. The other issue was the light from the floodlit Abbey opposite the hotel. These were on all night and because the curtains were not blackout curtains the room was not dark and this added to a disturbed nights sleep.nBreakfast was very good, particularly the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.nIf you don’t mind road noise and an illuminated bedroom then you’ll probably find your stay very comfortable. Thankfully we were only staying one night.
Really great place to stay.nRoom very clean, smart and comfy, nothing flash but that's fine with me.nAmazing view as promised in the details and worth the upgrade.nStaff friendly and a lovely town to stay in. Recommended.
Truly a dreadful room. Very shabby and the double bed was against the wall so could only be accessed from one side. The hotel itself was also really rundown eg the stair carpet was dirty and very worn. Definitely not worth the very inflated price.
Lovely small friendly hotel in great location - great to have parking. The staff were friendly and efficient.nRoom 5 was large with comfy bed and fantastic view.nWe stayed for two nights and will be very happy to stay again
