A very friendly and family orientated pub. Ever since the refurbishment the food is great and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The chefs are amazing as all the food so far has been spot on. Plenty of choice on the menu, and they're willing to go off menu a little to help cater for kids.
Service was very slow. I waited a very long time to order at the till. Once food was ordered we waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive. We got the Sunday roast, but had to ask for the cauliflower cheese for one of the meals, which came part of the meal, yet the staff seemed unsure. The food was good and very tasty, not sure if it's worth the hour wait for a roast dinner. We asked for extra gravy and got given a very big portion of it, which is extremely nice.
Brilliant, great friendly pub. Good menu of pub meals with favorite pump bitters. The staff went above and beyond for my Mum's wake. The buffet was excellent and good value for money. Can't recommend highly enough for either a great evening out or a family event.
I just had my first ever roast dinner! It was sooo good! beautiful place and great atmosphere ! Dessert was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend it
I really enjoyed my time at the Maldon Grey pub. There was some amazing customer service from all the staff and one member of staff in particular Alisha provided great chat whenever she asked if everything was okay. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
I came in for a lovely meal on Thursday last week and the service was absolutely amazing! Myself and my family were served by a lovely waitress, Issy. She made our experience at the Maldon grey so enjoyable!
Ate at this pub this evening, had the nacho sharing starter and chickpea and sweet potato curry. I cleared both my plates! Absolutely delicious and would highly recommend The Maldon Grey. Clean friendly and good quality food.
What a lovely pub but more so what a lovely feel which came from the interaction from the owners and staff. Went there with my toddler and we felt welcomed with open arms, a real community atmosphere. Will definitely be back
I really enjoyed my experience at this pub, food was lovely and service was great. A particular lovely young waitress Issy was lovely and friendly and easy to talk to, Would definitely recommend to families in the New Year
Looking forward to have lunch with our son but very disappointed with the meals. My husband and son had burgers but no salad as stated on menu. I ordered steak and ale pie mash and brocoli. I couldn't get my knife through the pie when I did get into it I found mostly gristle. The veg was very underdone and the gravy came out of the dish in lumps the mash was very nice. I mentioned all this to guy who collected the plates but he didn't seem to worried. Very disappointed.
